Thus, as I entered the wandering place, the outer four elements manifested as hot and cold, and the inner afflictions and conceptual thoughts were intense. Due to the circumstances of a monastic community without Dharma or base conduct, the mindstream was extremely disturbed. In order to pacify and liberate these disturbances, I, the yogi Tsewang Norbu, prayed to the Three Roots at the Riwoché Monastery in Dokham (Kham) on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Fire Monkey year. Grant me blessings. Guru, the embodiment of all the Jewels, wish-fulfilling gem. Yidam, the embodiment of all great accomplishments, glorious Hayagriva. Dakini, the embodiment of all, the five classes of wrathful lion-faced ones. I pray to the embodiment of the three intentions, grant me blessings. The embodiment of all, the hero clad in tiger skin. Lord of secrets, powerful Vajradhara. Samantabhadra Vajra, immaculate wisdom power. I pray to the root guru, grant me blessings. Purify obscurations of lifetimes, increase merit and wisdom. May auspiciousness, happiness, experience, and realization increase. May view transform into space, accomplish the benefit of self and others. May I quickly attain the state of Vajradhara. This was written in Partam retreat at the request of Tsewang Wangchuk, by the wandering beggar Tsewang Norden Jigme Gyepe Tsal on the 17th day of the fifth month of the Wood Dragon year.
