The secret lord who crushes all armies, the powerful wielder of the wheel! Dispelling the darkness of decline like the sun, you are the cool moon bestowing the nectar of benefit and bliss, the wish-fulfilling jewel of life empowerment, you alone! Although the depths of your great deeds, like the source of precious jewels, cannot be fathomed, yet for those who possess the treasure of faith and good fortune, scorched by the heat of longing for the Soka tree, you shower the auspicious rain of benefit and bliss, and to nurture the sprouts of liberation, please grant me permission to relate a few wondrous stories. In any case, the various talks of this world wander in the four unwholesome actions, only stirring up the waves of a hundred erroneous thoughts. Here, only virtuous deeds are meaningful. Like the summer thunder rumbling in the belly of the clouds, causing those far away to dance with joy, hearing the sweet stories of your wondrous deeds, the mind rejoices and the hairs of faith stand on end. Otherwise, the eyes afflicted by the demon of partiality, blinded by wrong views, those twice-born who live by names and signs, cannot bear the rays of the sun-like biography of the holy ones, let them sleep in darkness!
