Recite the following words: Eho! Listen, sons with the capacity! With faith in body, speech, and mind, for the purpose of entering the city of liberation, in the space in front, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, Gurus, Yidams, and assemblies of Dakinis, all the Buddhas and their retinues, invite them with respectful minds, and offer the four complete offerings of body and so on. Prostrate, make offerings, and join palms in prayer. Pray like this: Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions, may the Gurus, Yidams, and Dakinis hear! The Buddha, the chief of the two-legged, the peaceful and detached sacred Dharma, the supreme Sangha of noble ones, we respectfully take refuge in them. Recite this three times. Eho! Samantabhadra, the five families of Buddhas, the Buddhas, fathers, mothers, and retinues, from now until the attainment of enlightenment, we respectfully take refuge with our minds. O self-born, primordial, unborn one, self-radiant, luminous, unceasing one, phenomena and existence, the three realms inseparable, we take refuge in the one free from grasping and being grasped. And, may those who are not liberated be liberated, may those who have no breath be given breath, may sentient beings be placed in peace. Aspiration is Bodhicitta. Entering Bodhicitta is, just as the Buddhas of the past, abide in the precepts, from now until samsara is empty, the supreme entering Bodhicitta, may we all generate it. Study and practice the six perfections, liberate all with diligence, and also protect the three disciplines that accomplish all benefits. After I have taken the vows of generating the mind, may those who are not liberated be liberated, may those who are not delivered be delivered, may breath be given, may they be placed in peace. Recite this three times. Now taking the vows is, from today until the essence, take refuge in the Three Jewels and do not abandon them. In the Vajra family's samaya, Bodhicitta should not be abandoned. In the Ratna family's samaya, always give the four kinds of generosity.
