In the time before it became a common field of activity, upon hearing the secret names of what are known as the palace of power, Tushita Good Dharma, and the Thirty-Three, the three realms of the gods, the son of the gods named Light-Possessed, when the time of death approached, experienced the five omens of death: sounds arising in the sky, flowers withering, the body emitting a foul odor, the goddesses unwilling to approach, and the inability to sit comfortably on the seat. Feeling unhappy and distressed, the sense of joy disappeared, and with an unhappy mind, he observed the future rebirth, seeing with his own clairvoyance that he would take the body of a foolish creature that feeds on impure things. Therefore, focusing with a sense of extreme fear and dread, he remembered the places of refuge and generated the desire to go to them. However, the memory of other things did not become clear. Just as the uncommon name of the Great Vehicle Secret Essence is spoken in words, by remembering the true name that he had heard, he turned back from falling into the lower realms, was born in a place that holds secrets, became a member of the retinue of Vajradhara, and abided in the state of great bliss. Because of past good conduct, such a thing occurred, so future beings should also act in the same way. The second part, from "Furthermore, secret" to "Act purely," teaches: Furthermore, Lord of Secrets, listen! If one gains a great certainty in the view taught in the Great Vehicle Secret, even if one is thrown into the Howling Hell by the strong ripening of past karma, it is like a silk wrapping falling to the ground. Although one goes there due to the force of being thrown once, one does not stay there because of having a definitive nature. Why? Because all phenomena do not go beyond emptiness, so the realm that appears as a place of suffering, together with its objects, is not perceived, and that realm, together with the sentient beings who grasp at signs, is determined to be emptiness. Therefore, one will not become an unpleasant touch and experience suffering. How is that the case? In past times, there was a previous occurrence of one who had correct contemplation

The yogi Brahmin named Jamyangden, having heard the words of the profound secret of the Great Vehicle, gained certainty in it. He became extremely afraid and alarmed by his previous actions, denounced the signs, turned his back on the means, and turned away from attachment with a heart-wrenching feeling towards clinging to reality. Certain that he belonged to the lineage of the supreme secret, even if he fell into a state of weeping and lamenting, he did not experience suffering. He abided in the place of happiness and liberation, and truly attained it. Just as such a thing had happened in the past, so too should future followers learn from the pure lineage. This person is the same as those in the future and will not arise from the root tantra either. The third is taught from "Of the Victorious Ones" to "acts in accordance with faith": Those who delight in this great secret, the sacred intention of the Victorious Ones, and those who generate a genuine desire, will not encounter obstacles from others, but will quickly attain it as they wish, and will be endowed with the fortune of supreme meaning. How is that? In the past, there was a Brahmin named Jamyangden who desired to see the meaning of this great secret, the essence of secrecy. He looked in all places and searched, but could not find it anywhere. He generated a strong desire for the secret meaning and remained there. He wept bitterly, uttered cries of sorrow, and lamented, saying: "Alas, I am unfortunate and my mind is weary. Like this, from birth to old age, even if I strive to seek the true secret meaning, I have not seen this profound secret meaning, and I have not found it. What worse fate is there? How will I ever see it now?" Thinking that seeking will not find it, and meeting is impossible, he was certain of this. To me, who will show this secret meaning without reversing it, where does the compassionate one reside? I take refuge in him, uttering a loud cry, being extremely sad, lamenting and wailing. From the realm of the sky, a real sound came: "Brahmin with fortune, you of definite lineage. Like this, you have steadfast wisdom in the definite meaning, you, a man, have become empowered to receive the teachings of the profound meaning, all the victorious ones of the three times have

Therefore, blessing is certain, so for such devotion, do not be negligent, but be skilled and diligent in the methods of encountering the secret meaning. Therefore, now one should abandon attachment and craving for this cherished, tangible body, extract a large amount of blood from the root, visualize it as sandalwood water, offer it to all the Buddhas, and if one certainly observes the essence of the secret meaning, then immediately one will see the meaning without error. Having heard such a prophetic sound, the mind rejoiced and leaped, and devotion increased greatly. As the prophecy said, by truly observing and certainly practicing, one becomes the son of the Victorious One who holds the great lineage of the secret and sacred, and obtains the irreversible state. Just like that, those with fortune should practice devotion. Fourth, from "Lord of Secrets" to "behavior occurs and enters," what is expressed is: Furthermore, the Lord of Secrets is like this: After truly seeing the secret meaning, those fortunate beings who enter this place, if they purify and universally offer, they will equally obtain all the qualities of the place, and this is certain, just like reaching the peak, they have reached the ultimate essence of the intention, therefore at any time, the completely luminous Dharma nature, the unconditioned Dharma, will not have decline and destruction. What is that like? In the past, there once appeared a celestial son named Pure Celestial Son, who possessed ten million trillion celestial sons, who truly practiced yoga on the essence of the secret meaning. Although the Great Commentary takes Jewel Light as the lama, if one takes it as a disciple like the Dharma King's sacred treasure, it is also in accordance with coemergent wisdom. Therefore, the celestial son Jewel Light holds that virtuous king as the lord of the lineage of the crown of the head, relies on the field of reverence, with extremely pure faith, the mind moves towards virtue, with many celestial offerings, he goes to the holy celestial son, with great joy he desires and maintains a respectful posture, truly enters and abides in the essence of the secret meaning, and thereby obtains the four great miracles.

Being able to go to all the heavens, and also to emanate various great elements from the body, to lift and throw mountains, to obtain the ability to freely abide in a long life, like a jewel at the top of a banner, to be seen by seeing the pure Dharma-nature, even if the kalpa is completely destroyed, it will not completely disappear. In the past, such a situation has truly happened, so later yogis must also enter in this way. Fifth, from "Furthermore, Secret Lord" to "See how things happen as they are" is what is taught: Furthermore, the great Secret Lord is like this, seeing the nature of how things appear, thereby completely realizing the Dharma-nature as it is, one obtains the sacred eye of the lamp of wisdom, obtains the path of how those with supreme essence proceed, thereby entering the right path. What kind of situation is that? In the past, there was a Brahmin named the son of Yavati, who had the eye of the Great Vehicle, saw the meaning of the unadulterated secret, and dwelt on it as the essence. The Brahmin's son, named Kelanda, followed him with great devotion. Because he had the wisdom eye of the secret assembly, he was able to see the essence of the meaning without error, thereby completely ascertaining the excellence of the Great Vehicle secret, obtaining the great power of perfect self-accomplishment, becoming the cause of holding the great lineage land, therefore, follow this wonderful situation and see the meaning of the essence as it is. Sixth, from "Furthermore, Great Secret" to "Become wise as things happen" is what is taught: Furthermore, listen, those who hold the Great Secret, those who rejoice and rejoice in the excellence of those who manifestly practice the Great Vehicle, their merit is the same as those who personally practiced before, and there is no difference in the results. What is that like? In the past, there was a king named Free Light, who, together with ten yogi retinues, must have entered the profound meaning of the Great Vehicle, therefore, from the secret blessings of the secret mantra, many wonderful miracles appeared.
