The fault of acting as a teacher without understanding. The fault of taming and cutting off separately. The fault of hoarding the Sangha's belongings. The fault of stealing and deceiving the teachings. The fault of feigning a state of decline. The fault of generating attachment and aversion based on the similarity of words. The fault of being jealous when discussing secret meanings. The fault of shooting poisonous arrows of words. The fault of looking only at the surface without having a view. First, from "My intention" to "Do not act in that way" is taught: The precious jewel of the supreme intention of the teacher, the great secret teachings, even if one can use it well for a moment, but following that great lord of secrets, not mistakenly using these profound secret meanings, will actually decline, and his teachings, in the form of images or merely as pretense, most people will cling to and use, but the teacher I have not truly seen those uses as the definite secret meaning of the king of yoga, all those who claim to be yogis are only acting on the wrong path. So, on what kind of path is it only acting wrongly? Because one does not accurately realize this secret profound meaning, it will happen that this person breaks vows, goes astray from this action, and acts in the form of wrong asceticism. Therefore, this is not learning the correct way of this secret mantra, so it is not certain whether one can enter the door of fruition, but with deception and falsehood, it is disguised as similar to the truth. Those wrong actions are either wandering in delusion. So, what kind of person is it? In the past, there was a time when, in the era called "Kalpa Kunkö," the Buddha who appeared in the world, namely Manifest Victorious King, after his passing away, the yogi named Good Protector appeared, because he himself did not understand the secret profound meaning, but to the young retinue, he disguised himself in a similar way, proclaiming mantra actions that would lead to the wrong path, therefore, those people, including the five hundred retinue, deviated from the meaning of the secret supreme, and were again bound in samsara, and wandered in the wrong realm, such things have happened before, so he admonishes future people not to act in that way.

From "..." to "Do not act like that." It means, furthermore, Secret Lord, listen! Regarding the meaning of this wonderful method's secret essence, through yoga, controlling the mind, thereby realizing the field of experience as self-appearing meaning, when those who have generated valid wisdom are mostly not present, this secret teaching is also wrongly practiced. Those who do not understand the secret meaning and are attached to bad conduct, wrongly judge the path, thereby defiling the correct meaning, abandoning the scriptures, and falling into error, thereby discrediting themselves, and saying that only this is it, and others cannot truly realize its meaning, thus praising themselves and disparaging others is a wrong downfall. So, what is this like? In the era called "Kalpa Kunkö," a person named Yoga Auspicious did not open the wisdom of the meaning of secret mantras and was not skilled in the strategy of deciding with superior vision, abandoning the scriptures of wisdom that ascertain the secret meaning, thereby practicing non-righteous, evil dharma. To others who possess wisdom that truly ascertains the secret meaning, he said, "You have not ascertained it that way; the correct wisdom is only my own wisdom," thus greatly employing arrogance. This is because one does not understand oneself but speaks greatly to others, thereby ripening into the fruit of the worldly wrong path. Such a situation has happened in the past, so future people should not act like that. The third is, from "Furthermore, Subduing Harm" to "Do not act like that." It means, furthermore, the Lord of Subduing Harm, like this: The lineage has measure, abiding in the wake of the previously transmitted lineage. Even if the lineage is good, but one does not have the confidence to realize the mantra's view and intention, yet is promoted to the position of teacher by the retinue. Merely pursuing words as meaning, if it is certain that it is the power of lineage arrogance, then without understanding oneself, one suppresses others with great words. Without confidence in the meaning, harboring doubt and hesitation, merely feigning appearances, with a deceitful mind, acting like a madman, and being a sinner whose mind is always foolish. In a past time, in the era known as 'Kunda Kunda,' there was a yogi named 'Immaculate Conduct' who merely held the appearance of mantra. Using the appearance of the lineage of past scholars as a reason, he said to the tens of thousands of attendants: 'Because you are descendants of good lineage, but do not have the confidence to realize the secret meaning, you must take that yogi as your teacher and listen to his teachings.' In this way, they placed a heavy burden of words upon him, honoring him as the leader who upholds the lineage of meaningful scholars. Because of his mere outward appearance of greatness, he developed arrogance and, without knowing the true path, pretended to be virtuous and practiced distorted teachings. As a result, he and his retinue fell into the arrogant Rudra. Such a thing has happened before, so do not do that. The fourth example, from 'Furthermore, subdue harm' to 'It has happened before, do not do that,' shows that: Furthermore, the secret lord who subdues harm, because of the giving relationship with friends and benefactors, fears that those fields to be tamed and retinues who live on gain and respect will be controlled by others. Therefore, he divides his own and others' lineages and groups into separate categories, declaring: 'These are the ones I am to tame, the fields that live on enjoyment and wealth, and no one else should be included in this field of mantra taming.' He separates lineages and groups with afflicted words, drawing boundaries, which is falling into the wrong path. How is that? In a past time, in the era known as 'Kunda Kunda,' there was a yogi named 'Nashina,' who, along with a retinue of five hundred yogis, claimed to be proficient in the extremely swift path of mantra. They lived in secluded places in monasteries, dwelling in vast lands, and used various means and flattery to turn all the people living there into their own objects of taming. Then, having arrived there, in order to fully demonstrate that very path which ascertains the ultimate truth of the great secret, he began to teach the Dharma. However, within the lineage of the monastery, there was one called 'Silence,' who, with a mind perverted by the power of afflictions, exhorted, saying: 'This land is my field of taming. You do not belong here, so you, yogi, yourself move to another place!' He separated his own faction from the factions of others, causing them to completely fall into the mire of the path of afflicted samsara. Such a thing has happened before, so it is said not to act in such a way. Fifth, from 'Furthermore, difficult to tame' to 'The thing happened, do not act like that' indicates: Furthermore, the tamer of the difficult to tame, the great Lord of Secrets. Those who take possession of the substances that have been consecrated as gathering provisions by the sacred yogis, hoarding them for the sake of enjoying desires, offering agreement to one another, and denigrating each other, will never obtain enjoyment. How is that? In the past, in a kalpa known as 'Perfect Array,' there was a yogi named 'Yoga Bliss Auspicious,' who was attached to yoga and, together with a group, extensively used the sound of secret mantras. A woman named 'Excellent Ornament,' who had gathered in his retinue, was assigned to hold the gathering provisions for sustenance and was appointed as a messenger. Because she miserly hoarded wealth, the karmic result matured, and she took birth as a dog in the preta realm, forever wandering in a lowly body. Such a thing has happened before, so do not act in accordance with that. Sixth, from 'Furthermore, Lord of Secrets' to 'The thing happened, do not act like that' indicates: Furthermore, the Lord of Secrets, the tamer of yakshas. Those yogis who misuse the secret teachings, indulging in wrong views, being extremely fierce and wrathful, abiding in sinful conduct, even though they do not possess the correct meaning, say, 'What I teach is the only absolutely profound thing,' and babble nonsense.
