Thinking thus, "I have established so many sentient beings in unsurpassed, perfect enlightenment, and I have invited the Buddhas and their retinues to be venerated with all necessities for seven years. If I can fulfill my intention in unsurpassed enlightenment and this aspiration is also accomplished, then I should properly engage gods, demi-gods, gandharvas, yakshas, rakshasas, and kumbhandas in this great offering." Then, as soon as that Brahmin wished to see King Vaishravana, Vaishravana, surrounded by hundreds of thousands of yakshas, arrived before that Brahmin and said, "Brahmin, what do you want from me?" The Brahmin said, "Who are you?" He said, "I am the one you have heard of, the lord of yakshas, Vaishravana. What is the command? What should I give?" The Brahmin said, "Great king, you should also generate joy in this great offering." He said, "Brahmin, I will do as you wish." He said, "Great king, therefore, with my words, cause the yakshas to abide in unsurpassed, perfect enlightenment, and command them thus: 'If you yakshas desire unsurpassed, perfect enlightenment, then go and bring excellent sandalwood and the essence of snakes from the other side of the ocean. Some should bring various incenses, and some should bring various flowers.' Command them thus, and I will make offerings to the Blessed One Buddha every day." King Vaishravana, having heard the Brahmin, said, "So be it," and immediately disappeared. He beat a large drum and gathered the yakshas and rakshasas, saying, "O friends, be aware! Here in Jambudvipa, in front of the wheel-turning king, the chief of guides, the Brahmin named Ocean Dust, will venerate the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One, the essence of jewels, together with the sangha of monks, with all necessities for seven years. Therefore, you should rejoice in his root of virtue."

May this virtue cause you all to generate the mind of unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment! At that time, many yakshas and rakshasas, billions, trillions, hundreds of millions, joined their palms and said: We rejoice in whatever stream of merit there is from the Brahmin Ocean Dust having thus served the Buddha and his retinue. May that virtue be dedicated to attaining unsurpassed, complete enlightenment! King Vaishravana said: Listen, all of you! Whichever of you desires virtue and merit, bring from the other side of the ocean the excellent sandalwood ground and the essence of snakes with which the Brahmin Ocean Dust served the Buddha and his retinue for seven years. Then, ninety-two thousand yakshas unanimously said: We will do as such. Forty-six thousand yakshas said: We will take incense. Fifty-two thousand yakshas said: We will take various flowers. Twenty thousand yakshas said: For the sake of the Bhagavan and his retinue, we will take various medicinal essence earths, and we will infuse power into the food and the wind-force mixture. Seventy thousand yakshas said: We will prepare food for the Bhagavan and his retinue. Then, the Brahmin Ocean Dust: King Noble Birth, King Evil Eye, and many kings including the King Protector of the Land, as well as nagas and gandharvas, billions, trillions, hundreds of millions, also came to the presence of the Brahmin Ocean Dust, as before, until the generation of the mind of complete enlightenment. Then, by the power of the Buddha, the world protectors of the second of the four continents, and the four kings such as the son of Vaishravana of the thousand-three-thousand great world realm, with a billion retinues, also came to that Brahmin, and he caused them to hold the mind of unsurpassed, complete enlightenment. Then, the Brahmin Ocean Dust thought, if my hope of attaining unsurpassed enlightenment is truly fulfilled and my aspiration is accomplished, then I will distribute that offering to the gods who enjoy desire, and cause them to hold unsurpassed, complete enlightenment.

And, the lord of the gods, Indra, the son of the gods, extremely good at fighting, and completely joyful, and extremely transformative, and also the Other-created Wielding Power, thinking, "May they come here to see me," immediately. When those came in that way and were asked who they were, they stated their names and said, "What command does the Brahmin have?" They said, "For the sake of the Blessed One and his retinue, decorate all the gardens of Jambudvipa with all the heavenly substances in the heavenly realms, such as special and excellent heavenly mansions, trees, incense, and flowers, heavenly garments, cushions, ornaments, umbrellas, banners, and music." As commanded, the five heavenly kings went to the heavenly realms. They summoned the sons of the gods, Creeper, Twister, Nasal Blood, and Earthly Joy. "In the pleasure gardens of Jambudvipa, with various kinds of decorations, and various cushions and mats, decorate it just as this heavenly realm is decorated. And build mansions like Indra's mansion." As commanded, they accomplished all of that in one night. After completing the heavenly realm and the pleasure gardens of Jambudvipa without any difference, the five heavenly kings returned to the Brahmin. They said, "The gardens of Jambudvipa are already decorated, what else do we have to do?" The Brahmin said, "You five heavenly kings rule the kingdoms in your respective heavenly realms, so you have great power there. Therefore, gather the gods of your respective retinues. Come to Jambudvipa to see the Blessed One and his retinue, to pay homage, and to serve and honor him, and listen to the Dharma from the Buddha!" As he said, the five heavenly kings gathered the gods of their respective realms and said, "Brahmin, please rejoice in the virtue of the dust of the ocean, and generate the mind of unsurpassed Bodhi!" After doing so, hundreds of thousands of millions of gods from their respective realms requested, "We will do as you say." For the purpose of making offerings to the Buddha and listening to the Dharma in Jambudvipa, the five heavenly kings, each with hundreds of thousands of millions of their retinues. At night, they descended upon this Jambudvipa. Listen to the Dharma from the Buddha.

Listen, the gods of the sky cause showers of flowers and sounds of music to resound. Then, due to the power of the Brahmin Ocean Dust's thought arising as before, five non-god kings, lords of yakshas, came. By their words, many non-gods, as well as one named Dung Gangpo with many retinues, and Great Brahma with hundreds of thousands of retinues, and five kings of gods, such as Indra, lord of the gods of the second of the four continents, and the demons and Brahmas, and likewise the gods and non-gods, demons and Brahmas between the third, fourth, and fifth of the four continents, each with their many retinues, and from between the Buddha fields of the three thousand great thousand worlds, hundreds of billions of millions of Indras and other kings of gods and Brahmas and kings of demons and non-gods, each with their many retinues, were all gathered as before to generate the mind of enlightenment and to worship the Buddha and listen to the Dharma. Then, that Brahmin thought to himself: 'May the suffering of beings and animals, the world of Yama, and the hell beings of that field from this Jambudvipa to the realm of the great thousand world systems be cut off, and may an emanation of the Buddha reside before them, causing them to enter unsurpassed enlightenment. May such a miraculous display of the Buddha be manifested!' The moment he thought this, the Buddha knew his thought and entered into meditative absorption, emanating rays of light from the pores of his body, cutting off the suffering of sentient beings, thereby seeing the Buddha and generating the mind of unsurpassed enlightenment, and also accomplishing the immeasurable benefit of many other sentient beings. The people of Jambudvipa, in order to worship the Buddha and his retinue, heard the gods say, 'The king's palace, the delightful grove of Jambudvipa in the pleasure garden, has been adorned with celestial ornaments and fluttering banners.' Having heard this, they thought, 'Let us go there to see, and also see the Buddha and his retinue, and listen to the Dharma.' 于是陈设五百五百个珍宝之座，其上安坐五百婆罗门童子，凡进入那园林的众生，皆令皈依三宝，并安置于无上圆满菩提中。如是，婆罗门如海之尘埃般，于那七年中，令天、龙、非天、药叉、罗刹、鸠槃荼、乾闼婆、饿鬼、食肉鬼、地狱众生以及畜生所生者，从一一细数中解脱，安置于无上圆满菩提中，调伏且善加安顿。那七年过去后，除了天之珍宝轮外，还想供养八万四千轮，以及除了珍宝象外，还想供养以七宝严饰的八万四千头大象和八万四千辆马车。国王轮王的眷属们，在那七年过去之前，对于三毒的贪恋，以及对于王位、财富、儿子、女儿、饮食睡眠等的贪恋，以及对于自他的贪恋都未曾生起。七年中，未曾卸下铠甲而睡眠，日夜以及对于色声等的念头也未曾生起，身体上也未曾感到疲惫。见到十方如来刹土如微尘般的功德庄严，并且在他的视线中，山、环境、日月等其他任何事物都不显现，而是如见到清净的佛土般观视，并于祈愿中思维。如国王所经历的那般，一千位王子、八万四千个地方的国王，以及其他九万亿两千亿的众生，也都如此寂静地观视佛土的庄严。有些人思维清净的刹土，有些人则思维不清净的刹土。七年圆满之际，婆罗门如海之尘埃般，为了供养七宝，向如来合掌祈请：世尊，我已将国王轮王、一千位王子、地方的国王们以及其他众生安置于无上菩提中，他们已回到自己的家中，并于寂静处如实安住。
