For the letters of secret mantras, one should also regard them as rare and precious, and build seventy-seven stupas of whatever size one can, inserting secret mantras into each one. If one makes great offerings with one-pointed mind, life will be prolonged instead of being exhausted. The obscurations of past karma, all the sins of countless lifetimes, will be purified, and one will never again be born in the realms of hell, animals, or hungry ghosts. Wherever one is born, one will be able to remember past lives. All the wishes in one's mind will be fulfilled accordingly. One will plant roots of virtue with seventy-seven hundred thousand Buddhas. One will be liberated from all diseases and suffering. If someone is afflicted by a severe illness and is on the verge of death, one should make a square mandala and draw patterns on it with five colors. In the central part, one should draw a wheel, a vajra, a conch shell, a trident, a swastika, and a lotus. In each of the four corners, one should also draw a lotus and place on it a vase filled with scented water. One should also place a container filled with incense, emitting various fragrances. In containers of five colors, one should place various foods, three white foods, and mixed rice. In addition, one should pour bowls filled with scented water, flowers, rice, or grains. Furthermore, one should mix various foods to make a torma, mix it with a vase full of scented water, and place it on the mandala. Near the torma and the rice, one should draw an image of the Lord of Assemblies (Ganapati) and place a butter lamp on its head. If one constantly recites at all times, one will be reborn in the pure land where the Buddha resides, and will also be able to remember past lives. Untimely death and all obstacles will be eliminated. Furthermore, if someone desires to help for the sake of not dying, and recites the secret mantra seventy-seven times from the depths of their heart, then even if the deceased falls into the lower realms, their karmic obscurations will be immediately eliminated, and they will be reborn in the heavenly realm, enjoying bliss. Moreover, if someone writes down the secret mantra, writes the name of another person, places it inside a stupa, and diligently makes offerings, then the deceased will be liberated from the lower realms and reborn in the heavenly realm. Or they will be reborn among the gods of Tushita heaven, and by the blessings of the Buddha, they will not fall into the lower realms. Any son or daughter of good family, if they circumambulate the stupa, or prostrate, or make offerings, by the blessings of the Tathagata (Buddha), they will also not regress from the path of unsurpassed Bodhi. Even birds, wild animals, etc., that are touched by the shadow of the stupa will never be reborn in the lower realms such as animals. All roots of virtue will be completely perfected, and great glory, power, and strength will be obtained. Even if birds and bees, etc., are touched by the shadow of that stupa, they will be known and remembered by the Tathagatas. They will attain unsurpassed, perfect enlightenment and abide in the irreversible ground. Furthermore, whoever dreams of such a stupa, or sees it from afar, or hears the sound of bells, or hears talk of building a stupa, all their sins and obscurations, including the five inexpiable sins, will be purified. They will always be protected and remembered by the Tathagatas, and they will attain the completely pure path of unsurpassed, perfect enlightenment. This mantra is called the secret mantra of the life-force of the stupa. The body will emit the fragrance of sandalwood, and the mouth will emit the fragrance of lotus flowers, and one will obtain the path of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment and attain the irreversible position. Furthermore, even if only a mustard seed-sized amount of fragrant oil is used, after reciting the mantra, if it is applied to the stupa, one can obtain the merits and goodness as mentioned before. Furthermore, whether it is a monk, a nun, a male lay practitioner, or a female lay practitioner, anyone who keeps themselves pure and holds these mantras with the thought of rarity and preciousness should be believed as if they were treating the Tathagata. Generate respect for the mantras and write them down.
