I offer and circumamb with banners, decorations, the sound of musical instruments, cymbals, and drums. I also recite the basis of the secret mantras of the dharani. I also generate a mind of benefit and a mind of love towards all sentient beings. I abide in the eight-branch noble path of the lay vows, bathe three times, and change clothes three times. From the eighth day until the fifteenth day of the following month, if one recites the vidya-mantra one hundred and eight times each day, I will grant him visions in dreams and also give earnest teachings. All wishes will also be fulfilled. Thus, etc., the unchanging words of the noble one have become a measure, as you have promised, today also please reside in this mandala of the palace where the assembly of offerings is arranged, accept the offerings, be complete with your retinue, accomplish the activities of fulfilling the complete sutra rituals, and please bless that all sentient beings, including myself, may obtain all the benefits as you have spoken. In particular, in order to make the holy Dharma of the scriptures, such as the Sutra of the Extensive Special Features of the Past Aspirations of the Seven Tathagatas, flourish for a long time, and all obstacles and hindrances to those who practice Dharma in all ways, and all that has become the side of demons, spreading diseases of humans and animals in the region, and causing bad harvests due to drought, frost, and hail, etc., and showing many harms and bad omens and inauspicious signs, and all the various kinds of demons who harbor hatred towards sentient beings, whatever wanders and dwells in this region, and so-and-so, etc., whether driven by past karma or arising from immediate circumstances, or becoming a spirit of the region, family, and lineage, in any case, whatever harm is done to so-and-so's body, life, government, power, retinue, and possessions, etc., in any way, whatever demons exist, please subdue them by methods appropriate to each, grant them to abandon thoughts of hatred and harm, transform them into beings with minds of peace, virtue, and love, and also the inauspicious signs and evil deeds of harm that were previously done

Wherever in towns, cities, villages, or monasteries this sutra is practiced, and wherever beings uphold, offer, and pay homage to the name of the Tathagata Medicine Guru, King of Lapis Lazuli Light, we shall protect them. We shall fully guard them. We shall completely liberate them from all harm. We shall completely fulfill all their aspirations. Having spoken these words, they made their vows and kept them in mind. The Bhagavan also said, "Because you dwell here to repay and remember the Tathagata Medicine Guru, King of Lapis Lazuli Light, and for the benefit of all beings, excellent, excellent!" Thus, he showed his approval and praise. Likewise, today in this mandala of the palace where offerings are gathered, with a retinue that is tamed and peaceful, with love and compassion, accept the offerings, completely fulfill the rituals of the sutra, and accomplish the activities. Please bless us and all beings so that we may obtain all the benefits as you have said. In particular, in order to make the holy Dharma of the scriptures, such as the sutra that extensively describes the distinctions of the past aspirations of the Seven Tathagatas, flourish for a long time, and all obstacles and hindrances that arise for those who practice the Dharma in every way, and all that has become the side of demons, and the sending of human and livestock diseases to the region, and causing drought, hail, and other disasters, leading to crop failure, and showing many harms and inauspicious signs, and various kinds of harmful spirits who harbor hatred towards beings, please subdue all these spirits wandering in this land and region. Whether due to past karma or immediate circumstances, causing so-and-so (a specific person) to become a demon of their mother's homeland, father's family, or lineage, in any case, whatever harm is done to so-and-so's body, life, politics, power, retinue, and possessions, etc., in any way, please subdue all the harmful spirits in a way that is suitable for them, and cause them to abandon their hatred and harmful intentions, and let them have thoughts of peace, goodness, and love, and let them stop the inauspicious and evil harmful actions they have done in the past.

Also, destroy and cast away these. Hereafter, in order not to cause any harm, restrain each other with the firm vows of your respective lineages, and in the presence of the assembled holy ones, please grant the activity of bestowing great vows. Please allow this. At this time when each one offers offerings and completes the prayers, recite the dharani mantras and bathe. To the assembled holy ones, generally offer whatever offerings are available, as it is said in the Sutra of Extensive Distinction of the Previous Aspirations of the Seven Tathagatas, in this mandala of the palace where the assembly of offerings is arranged. Inviting the Seven Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Complete Buddhas, and the Teacher, the Bhagavan Glorious Shakyamuni Buddha with his retinue, reciting their names, prostrating and making offerings. In accordance with the special aspirations of these past Buddhas, may we make prayers, and in their presence, confess sins, rejoice in virtues, exhort and pray, by the power of whatever merit there is, and by the power of their might, glory, and blessings, May all the sins and obscurations accumulated by the noble prince Trisong Detsen from beginningless samsara be purified. May he be free from illness, and may his life become the root of benefit and happiness for beings, as the Supreme Ones said, as modified by the Fifth Dalai Lama, to be recited here (this is a note). May he possess long life, a strong crown, a flourishing government, and perfect glory in both worldly and transcendental realms. Ultimately, may he perfect the two accumulations, attain the vajra body, become the king of Dharma, and attain the state of the Buddha Bhagavan. May all the subjects under his rule have all internal and external harms completely pacified, possess perfect happiness, and attain the unsurpassed great enlightenment. May there be no human or livestock diseases, crop failures, enemy harm, or inauspicious events in all regions, may there be timely rain, may crops and livestock increase and flourish, and may there be perfect happiness and prosperity.
