So! However, if it is not combined with Mahamudra, it is inferior to the great accumulation path of the characteristic vehicle. The glorious Self-arisen Foot said: The mantra practitioner gains stability in the generation stage. In the completion stage, the signs of warmth arise in the channels, winds, and bodhicitta, and thus one begins to practice the four activities and the eight great siddhis, etc. Even if one obtains these, if one does not mix them with the path of non-attachment, Mahamudra, it is slightly inferior to the miraculous feet spoken of in the sutras. Thus it is said. Each aspect of generation and completion is grasped with unique faith, diligence, mindfulness, samadhi, and wisdom, as clear and sharp as the senses, and thus easily accomplished, these are the five senses. They become endowed with the power that cannot be stolen, these are the five powers. Thereafter, the unity of generation and completion, the first attainment of the supreme siddhi of Mahamudra, the Joyful Ground, is all the excellent virtuous Dharma, the effortless and spontaneous mindfulness that is never forgotten, is the mindfulness, the correct limb of enlightenment. Similarly, discriminating without contradicting the Dharmadhatu is wisdom. Not turning back from the great Bodhi is diligence. The joy of truly realizing that, and the three doors being free from defilement, is pliancy. The samadhi in which the three doors of liberation are spontaneously accomplished, and the equanimity of seeing all dharmas as equal, are the seven limbs of the path of enlightenment. Thereafter, just as when a good harvest year is nearing maturity, only the ears of grain flourish, so in the supreme and unchanging wisdom of Mahamudra, only the correct view of seeing all dharmas as one taste. Similarly, contemplating without contradicting that Dharmata. Similarly, speech is in accordance with Dharma. Because samatha and vipassana are one, whatever is done does not deviate from that, this is the edge of karma. Cutting off wrong livelihood and living only by that, this is livelihood. The diligence without effort increases excellently, this is effort. The mindfulness that exhausts the pride of the three spheres, never forgetting, this is mindfulness. The samadhi that is free from coming and going is always spontaneously accomplished, this is correct samadhi. In short, view and

Speech, language, actions, livelihood, effort, mindfulness, and samadhi, all of these are practiced in a way that does not deviate from the very nature of reality, therefore they are the eightfold noble path. Similarly, the four dhyanas are also common. The intellectual parts that aim at the arising and completion of signs are seeking (Tibetan: རྟོག་པ་), and the subtle parts are investigating (Tibetan: དཔྱོད་པ་), which are the two branches of the antidote. Focusing the mind on this is the nature of dhyana. The branches of benefit, joy and happiness, are said by summarizing the three, bliss, clarity, and non-discrimination, into the sound of bliss, that is, relying on the blazing and melting of the samaya seal to cultivate bliss, and relying on the karma seal, the true awareness, to cultivate bliss, these are the first dhyana with five branches. Because the mind is extremely stable and the samadhi is capable, therefore, starting from the ten signs, from the definite and indefinite signs, images to the appearance part between the Dharma image, is the inner extreme clarity, that is, the branch of the antidote. From this, happiness and joy arise in body and mind, which are the two branches of benefit. Single-pointedness is the nature of dhyana. In short, the illusion-like clear samadhi is the second dhyana, with four branches. The path of luminosity and non-discrimination is the third dhyana of mantra, knowing that all dharmas are equality is equanimity, truly knowing that nature is mindfulness, and its continuity does not depend on attention and is not damaged is knowing, these three are the branches of the antidote. The uncontaminated bliss arising from this is benefit. Single-pointedness is the nature of samadhi, and non-discrimination is the third dhyana, which is the samadhi with five branches. The inseparable blending of the three, bliss, clarity, and non-discrimination, is the fourth dhyana, and being separated from the object of the sign of mindfulness and equanimity is complete purity, which are the two branches of the antidote. Pacifying proliferation is equanimity, which is the branch of benefit. Single-pointedness is the nature of samadhi. The four dhyanas have four branches. In the Mahayana scriptures, it is said that seeking and investigating are like fire, joy and happiness are like water, and action is like wind, therefore in the third dhyana, except for action like wind, the others
