The very essence of all dharmas, which is to receive the oral instructions without the contamination of conceptual thoughts from the venerable Guru who has an unbroken lineage of oral instructions and blessings, to integrate it into one's own mindstream, and to have the experience arise in the presence of the root Guru, so that one can discern what to adopt and what to abandon. What is obtained from texts and various speculations is like a butter lamp in a painting, which cannot accomplish anything. Therefore, I will not elaborate here, but seek it from the holy ones. A yogi who is solely focused on the practice of the Completion Stage will not deliberately engage in the artificial practices of the Generation Stage, such as conceptual imputation. As it is said in the Vajra Dakini Tantra: "In order to realize genuine conduct, artificial meditation and artificial recitation are performed. If genuine conduct is realized, these artificial ones are not to be done. For example, after boarding a boat, one can cross to the other side of the river. Just as one abandons the boat after reaching the other side, so it is with these artificial ones." And so on. Therefore, mandalas and so forth, striving for the rituals of action, are external paths that are devoid of liberation, and only cause beings to generate afflictions. Thus it is said. Therefore, a yogi of the Great Bliss Method's Completion Stage knows that the Vajra body, speech, and mind themselves are the nature of the mandala, the mandala deity, and the mantra, so all fire offerings and recitations are accomplished within that. A yogi of unborn wisdom knows that all deities and mantras are the nature of the unborn mind, so all fire offerings and recitations are accomplished within its nature, and they do not deliberately take up artificial actions. Second, practicing the state of equipoise and post-equipoise without separation: Without fear and without limit, with awareness endowed with a banner, not letting go of the shepherd and abandoning attachment, cutting off clinging completely. The four letters of self-arisen wisdom (seed syllable, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, literal Chinese meaning: A; seed syllable, Devanagari: आ, Romanized Sanskrit: ā, literal Chinese meaning: Ah; seed syllable, Devanagari: ह, Romanized Sanskrit: ha, literal Chinese meaning: Ha; seed syllable, Devanagari: ḥ, Romanized Sanskrit: ḥ, literal Chinese meaning: Hah), arise in the Dharmadhatu and play in the Dharmadhatu. The object to be grasped and the mind that grasps, in the true meaning, are not established. Thus it is said. The meaning of this is explained in the first oral instruction: Such a yogi should not let the three doors of body, speech, and mind remain in an ordinary state for even a moment, but should urge them on with the three key points. Do not let the five senses become the five doors, but abide in a state of non-discrimination. Bestow power on the awareness endowed with a banner, without fear and without limit. Regarding dwelling, friends, food, clothing, wealth, and so forth, the eight worldly dharmas

Abandon attachment. Vigorously suppress any unbearable thoughts that arise. Completely sever clinging. With the courage of realizing that one's own mind is unborn, practice without meditation and post-meditation. Thus it is said. In the sixth instruction, it says: With the confidence of realizing that all appearances of the six consciousnesses are the unborn Dharmakaya, be as brave as a tiger, as fearless and unashamed as a lion, as sharp in focus and quick and agile in awareness as lightning, as powerful and forceful in awareness as thunder, as loud and heroic in mantra sound as a dragon, as free from any constraints and liberated as a madman, as liberated from the bonds of attachment and grasping as the sky, possessing such realization, vigorously arouse awareness, strike with a firm attitude, torment illness, torment demons, torment afflictions. As it is said, it is to blend the generation and completion stages without separation, without meditation and post-meditation, and cultivate with a continuous stream of yoga like a river. Therefore, the yoga of the qualified ones of this Marpa Kagyu tradition is like this, it is liberated from the detours of alternating between meditation and post-meditation and generation and completion stages. In general, the Kalachakra Tantra says that the generation stage is only the cause of worldly achievements, and in the tantras, the generation stage is said to be an artificial practice, etc., which refers to those who are attached to shapes and colors, and who practice with the conceptual mind that clings to the deity as real, and who are extremely attached to the elaborate activities such as the mandala activities and fire puja offerings that are performed as a result, and who cling to these as the cause of liberation, because the generation stage practice of those people will not become anything other than a little accumulation of merit and worldly achievements. The generation stage, which is said to be the essence of the path of union of generation and completion, is not like that, because it is free from observing with ordinary appearances, therefore, when it appears as the nature of deity, mantra, and bliss, even from the seed syllable and the complete form, and from one face and two arms to the appearance of countless faces and arms, it is free from attachment to form. From the appearance of one color to countless colors, it is free from attachment to color. Existing in the world
