Now I will explain. The second is: Oṃ deva picu vajra hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ svāhā. This is the essence of Hevajra. It is said that this is necessary for the mantra recitation of the path's generation stage, the accomplishment of empowerment's practice, and the accomplishment of the fruit's action assembly. The essence of the other three Herukas is also the same as this. The meaning of the words is: Oṃ deva picu vajra is calling the deity Akshobhya Vajra or the deity Manjushri Vajra by name. The three hūṃs are the indivisibility of body, speech, and mind. Phaṭ means to be joyful and delighted in action. Svāhā means to establish the foundation. This is the essence of the thirteen letters of Hevajra with eight faces and sixteen arms. The method of practice is explained in detail in the fifth chapter of the Lower Tantra. Furthermore, according to the view of Ḍhaṃ ga da sha, which combines the meaning of this mantra with the deity of the generation stage, oṃ represents the body vajra. Deva is the deity, because the appearance of the face and hand gestures is the form of the deity. Pitsu is tiny, which means emitting and gathering extremely tiny emanations. Vajra is the vajra or indivisible, which is the body of non-dual wisdom. This indicates the main deity. The eight letters such as hūṃ represent the eight goddesses of the retinue, which are considered to represent the nine deities of the essence of skillful means and wisdom. The view of the glorious Naropa is: The letter oṃ is the first letter of the mantra, which accomplishes the deity, representing the ultimate reality of dharmata. Deva is playing or enjoying, which means playing and enjoying for the benefit of sentient beings with various emanations. Pitsu is love, which is immaculate compassion. Vajra is indivisible, which means representing the inseparability of skillful means and wisdom. Summarizing the meaning of the words: With loving compassion, playing for the benefit of sentient beings, from the essential point, urging the body, speech, and mind that are inseparable from emptiness and compassion. Alternatively, deva is the sambhogakaya, pitsu is the nirmanakaya, vajra is the dharmakaya, and all are inseparable, which is the svabhavikakaya. The three hūṃs represent the body, speech, and mind vajra, which is the view of the Sakya Khon family. In the ultimate sense, the sixteen arms reside in the indestructible bindu of the stainless fruit in the crown chakra, therefore it is free from the coarse touch that obscures it, and it transforms into the meaning of being as firm as a vajra. The third is: The first line of all mantras.

第四是:Om A Ka Ca Ṭa Ta Pa Ya Śa Svāhā。

The forms of Ra and Om, and finally the forms of Svāhā and Hūṃ Phaṭ are to be placed within. It is said that, as a certainty to lead all the mantras spoken in this tantra at the first line, the form of Om, that is, the letter, and finally, for pacifying and increasing actions, Svāhā, and for subjugating and forceful actions, the forms of Hūṃ Phaṭ are to be placed within. Or else, it is said that Hūṃ Phaṭ Svāhā are to be affixed to all. Among these, the meaning of Om has already been explained. Hūṃ is: In the Vajra Peak, it is said: What is the letter Hūṃ? It heals and destroys suffering, it cuts the noose of existence, it frightens and kills the wicked. Hūṃ is to be remembered as supreme. What is the letter Phaṭ? It destroys wickedness and suffering, and attracts happiness. Phaṭ is the destroyer, the enemy, and destroys together with friends. What is said to be Svāhā? It pacifies all sins, increases the accumulation of virtue, steals away committed misdeeds, and is the supreme destroyer of all suffering. It is said that, by this, one should understand the meaning of all the five self-arisen ones. The fourth is: Om A Ka Ca Ṭa Ta Pa Ya Śa Svāhā. This is the mantra for agitating cities. It is said that, first placing Om, A represents all ten vowels, and Ka Ca Ṭa Ta Pa Ya Śa, these seven collect the thirty-four letters of each group, or else, Svāhā is added at the end of the fifty letters, or only the directly indicated mantra itself is explained. This is the mantra for agitating and shaking cities that have eighteen kinds of crafts and so on. In the literal sense, the temporary result of the mantra is shown in the action, and some explain that this is for controlling and subduing the people in the city, while others say that if one cannot achieve through recitation, then this shows the way the mantra agitates the city. Thus it is said. These combinations of actions explained from here onwards, first by someone who has reached the measure of the generation stage meditation and recitation, by preceding the recitation of each action, one must accomplish according to each ritual. The way of that should be understood from the great commentaries of India and Tibet and from the oral instructions of the lama. The definitive meaning is: placing these letters of the groups on a wheel and meditating.
