Tu! The protector, I beg to enter! Thus he prays. The master prays in the mandala: The abode of all Thus-gone Ones, Glorious Heruka, the supreme city, In this essence mandala, May my disciple reside. You are staying inside the eastern gate of the mandala. Visualize respectfully prostrating to the feet of all the deities and make prostrations. Om Mani Padme Hum. (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, Literal Chinese meaning) Joining palms at the crown of the head, Namah Te Hum. (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, Literal Chinese meaning) At the throat, Namah Mi Hum. (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, Literal Chinese meaning) At the heart, Namo Namah Hum. (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, Literal Chinese meaning) Exit from that gate and go around the mandala clockwise. Staying inside the southern gate, make prostrations to the deities of the mandala. Om Mani Padme Hum. Namah Te Hum. Namah Mi Hum. Namo Namah Hum. Again, exit from that gate and go around the mandala clockwise. Staying inside the western gate, make prostrations to the deities of the mandala. Om Mani Padme Hum. Namah Te Hum. Namah Mi Hum. Namo Namah Hum. Again, exit from that gate and go around the mandala clockwise. Staying inside the northern gate, make prostrations to the deities of the mandala. Om Mani Padme Hum. Namah Te Hum. Namah Mi Hum. Namo Namah Hum. Again, staying inside the eastern gate, In the presence of the deities of the mandala, generate the thought to take and protect the vows and commitments of the mantra. Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, All, please heed me! As The Protectors of the three times, Have definitely acted in Bodhi, The supreme Bodhicitta, I shall generate the excellent one. In the vows of Buddha Yoga, The discipline of vows, Accumulating virtuous dharmas, And the discipline of benefiting beings, I shall firmly hold. Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, The unsurpassed Three Jewels, From today I shall hold them, And never abandon them. In the great supreme Vajra family, Vajra, bell, and mudra also, I shall truly hold, And also hold the masters. In the great supreme Ratna family, Every day, six times, Material things, Dharma, and fearlessness, The four kinds of giving, I shall always give.
