As usual, make aspirations. At the end of each session, like the usual practice of pacifying, increasing, subjugating, and wrathful activities, recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra, the Refuge and Heart Mantra, offerings, praises, etc. During breaks between sessions, instead of rising as the deity's form, contemplate your own body as a five-pronged vajra of adamant, and repeatedly remain in the state of primordial purity, which is the special characteristic. Regarding the amount of recitation, if it is specifically for longevity practice, strive until signs appear. If it is just to complete the limbs of pacifying, increasing, etc., do as much as you can, whether it's seven days or hundreds of thousands of recitations. The signs, as stated in the scriptures, are: crossing a river, going uphill, wearing clothes, the sun and moon rising, enjoying fruits, seeing an iron vajra, etc. If these appear, they are signs of accomplishment, so one should receive the attainments. Secondly, the practice: For a yogi with stable samadhi, as stated in the scriptures: Thus, self, front generation, vase, and torma, longevity pills, longevity wine, sun, moon, planets, and stars, a vajra cliff or a towering mountain, an immutable snow mountain, a turquoise lake, and whatever else one relies on to accomplish, it is impossible to describe the benefits of each one. In short, one's own body is a great iron city. As it is said, taking the sun, moon, cliff, mountain, etc., as the support for the front generation, through the recitation of expanding and contracting, contemplate that you have obtained the accomplishment of longevity, and finally dissolve it into yourself, so that the blessings and power will be even greater. However, now, in order to accommodate beginners and those with limited realization and wisdom, according to common practice, arrange a mandala on the platform, in the center of which place a vase filled with the essence of twenty-five substances, adorned with a top ornament, neck ornament, and bound mantra rope. In front, place a vase-shaped, abundant longevity torma made of pure white sugar mixed with sweets. To the right, place longevity pills, and to the left, longevity wine. All of these should have the lineage of empowerment from longevity pills and other sacred substances blessed by the upper ones. Behind, erect a standard-sized longevity arrow. All of these should be free from defects such as cracks. In front, place the bla gtor (soul ransom torma), with medicine and rakta (blood) on the left and right. If you have the wealth to arrange offerings and mouth-replacements, arrange two sets. Offerings and tormas should also be prepared. The recitation of the ritual should be according to the previous one, clearly visualizing the self, front generation, vase water, and torma separately in one session, or according to the tradition of the Nyingma school, practicing the self and front generation as inseparable during the ritual and then reciting.
