The realization that there is no place to find and that it is emptiness is also not true or ultimate, just like dreaming that a son dies in a dream even though there is no reason for him to die, and then thinking that there is no son. The non-conceptual wisdom that does not establish the duality of grasper and grasped becomes a great conceited concept. As Shantideva said: Therefore, what is a false entity? Its non-existence is clearly false. For example, in a dream, a son dies, and the thought that he does not exist is an obstacle to the thought that he exists, and that is also false. Moreover, emptiness is the antidote to the clinging to reality, but if you cling to emptiness, it is said to be an incurable view. As it is said in the Ratnakuta Sutra: 'O Kasyapa, it is better for a person to abide in the view of self as Mount Sumeru than to abide in the view of emptiness with pride.' And as it is said in the Root Wisdom: 'If one sees emptiness incorrectly, those of little wisdom will be destroyed.' And it is said: The Buddhas have said that emptiness is the abandonment of all views. Those who hold the view of emptiness are said to be incurable. Therefore, the mind that clings to emptiness must also be examined. As it is said in the Ornament of the Sutras: After realizing with wisdom that there is nothing other than the mind, one then realizes that the mind itself does not exist. After realizing that both do not exist with wisdom, one abides in the realm of reality without duality. Shantideva said: By becoming accustomed to the habit of emptiness, the habit of reality will be abandoned, and if one becomes accustomed to saying that there is nothing, then that too should be abandoned later. That is to say, forms and so on, like the objects of dreams, are merely appearances of one's own mind. Separating the parts of one and many, like the sky, in the face of the realm of consciousness, is your wisdom that distinguishes the emptiness of nothingness not actually a delusion? Because all appearances are the self-light of the mind, the inseparability of appearance and emptiness is like the moon in water. If you divide what cannot be divided, it is a delusion. Like this, because you do not understand the inseparability of appearance and emptiness, you first think that something real exists, and then you destroy it with emptiness and cling to it as non-existent, which is a great fault. As the great Saraha said: Clinging to reality is like an animal, clinging to non-reality is even more foolish.
