Like a blind man seeing forms. A child has never seen it before. A newborn child living at home, Like the form of the sun, even the noble ones. Thus it is said. Why is it so difficult to realize? Just as blind people have never seen various forms, similarly, all individual children have never directly seen the stainless Suchness. Also, just as a newborn child living at home can slightly see the form of sunlight but cannot see it completely, similarly, even a noble bodhisattva abiding on the tenth ground can slightly see the Dharmakaya directly, but cannot see it completely. Second, there are three reasons for explaining the latter: explaining the unchanging qualities, the qualities of abandonment and realization, and the qualities of purity. First: Because it is free from birth, it is constant, Because there is no cessation, it is stable. Because it is non-dual, it is peaceful, Because the eternal Dharma-nature abides. Thus it is said. The stainless Buddha, from the very beginning, is free from arising from causes and conditions, therefore possesses the quality of constancy. Whatever is without birth is without cessation, therefore possesses the quality of stability. Because there is no disturbance from arising and ceasing, the Buddha possesses the quality of peace. Therefore, it possesses the quality of eternity, because the Dharma-nature, the self-nature of Nirvana, abides from the very beginning and is unchanging. Second: Because of the truth of perfect cessation, Because of realizing all, it is pervasive. Because there is no abiding, there is no realization, Because of abandoning afflictions, there is no attachment. Because all obscurations of knowledge are purified, There is no obstruction in everything. Because of non-dual potential, It is free from coarse touch. Thus it is said. The Bodhi of the Buddha possesses the quality of great bliss, which is the perfect cessation of all suffering, because the ultimate Truth of Cessation, where everything to be abandoned has ceased, has become manifest. Similarly, because of directly realizing all aspects of knowable things, it is the knowledge of all that exists.

It possesses the quality of encompassing all knowable things. Because it does not abide in any object or characteristic, it possesses the quality of knowing things as they are, without conceptualization. These are the differences between bliss and realization. Furthermore, because it has abandoned the obstacles to liberation, the obscurations of afflictions, along with their habitual tendencies, it possesses the quality of not being attached to the meaning of reality. Because it has completely purified all the obstacles to omniscience, the obscurations of knowledge, it possesses the quality of being unimpeded in all aspects of the meaning of all that exists. Because it is free from the obscurations of meditative absorption, such as sinking and excitement, the body and mind are supple, and it is capable of practicing meditation, possessing the quality of being free from coarse touch. The third is: Because it is formless, it cannot be seen; because it is without characteristics, it cannot be grasped. Because of the purity of its good nature, it is stainless and free from defilements. As it is said, enlightenment is not a form composed of accumulated particles, because it is beyond conditioned phenomena, so it cannot be seen by ordinary people's senses. Because it does not have the characteristics of elaboration such as signs and reasons, and because it is purified from the phenomena of consciousness, it cannot be grasped by the minds of ordinary people. It possesses the virtuous qualities of ultimate truth, because it possesses the naturally pure nature of the dharmadhatu. It possesses the quality of being extremely stainless, because it has abandoned all temporary defilements and habitual tendencies. Fifth, the meaning of entering has two aspects: a summary of the categories of characteristics, and an extensive explanation of their meaning. The first has four aspects: what is the essence by which it is realized, and a summary of the differences between the Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya, and Nirmanakaya. The first is: Without beginning, middle, or end, without differentiation, free from duality, Undivided, free from three, stainless, without conceptualization, is the Dharmadhatu. What is its nature? This is realized, seen by yogis in equipoise. As it is said, there is no birth in the beginning, no abiding in the middle, and no cessation in the end. This is the characteristic of the unconditioned. There is no differentiation between the dharmadhatu and wisdom. This is the characteristic of non-duality. There are no two extremes of imputation and denial. This is the characteristic of non-perversion. It is free from the three obscurations, this is purity.
