It is mentioned in many scriptures. The luminous nature of mind is obscured by adventitious stains, like clouds. And this self-nature is pure, without beginning or end, co-born like gold and dross, the consciousness of dualistic appearance of grasper and grasped is the alaya-vijñana, other-powered, conventional illusion, the ground of ignorance and habitual tendencies, etc., which are given many names. From this arise the four obscurations, such as anger towards the Dharma, therefore one cannot realize the true nature and is bound in samsara. The four causes, such as faith in the supreme vehicle, enable one to correctly realize the true nature, thereby uprooting the adventitious stains and manifesting the essence of the Buddha, which is called the Dharmakaya. The self-luminous nature has never been stained by defilements from the beginning, so there is nothing to be removed, because the stains are artificial and adventitious, so the essence is emptiness. Qualities are the nature of inherent qualities, so there is nothing to be newly established, because it is the nature of non-differentiation, so the essence is not empty. For example, when a jaundiced person sees a conch shell as yellow, the true nature of the conch shell is empty of yellow and not empty of white. When its meaning is determined through hearing and thinking, as the Ratnagotravibhāga says, "The ultimate reality is devoid of all phenomena created by causes and conditions, and is devoid of all aspects." Thus, one examines with the wisdom of other-emptiness. Without beginning, middle, or end, without differentiation, non-dual, free from the three, stainless, without conceptualization, realizing the nature of the Dharmadhatu, this is what is seen by the yogi in equipoise. Therefore, it is considered to experience the wisdom of two emptinesses through meditation. The venerable Sakya Pandita said, "Having determined it as freedom from extremes, then practice it in union." This statement is the same as this point. The great beings who hold this view are known as the Madhyamaka Shentongpas. This is merely an expression of other-emptiness, which is explicitly mentioned in the sutras as well. In Tibet, this way of speaking arose after the great adept Yumo wrote the four commentaries on the "Clear Light." The meaning of this word was widely expanded by Kunchen Dolpopa and his sons. Although there is no difference in the key points of their view and practice, there are some differences in the tenets of the schools when temporarily establishing the view. In particular, these four of Kunchen Jonangpa

Regarding the essence of the Tathagatagarbha, which is pure, constant, blissful, and the true self, transcending mundane understanding, when explained literally, all Tibetan commentators understand it as an imputed real establishment and refute it. However, their meaning of constancy, etc., refers to the immutable Dharmadhatu, considering it to be beyond elaboration and concepts, beyond words and thoughts, and the realm of non-dual wisdom that is not inverted. Furthermore, because it can be examined by wisdom, the examination itself is erroneous, like the image of emptiness possessing all supreme aspects spoken of in the Kalachakra, which is called Mahamudra, etc. In short, the root of these two approaches, subsequent cognition and direct perception, lies in the existence or non-existence of the Tathagatagarbha, and the meaning of "There is nothing to be abandoned here, nothing to be established, seeing reality as it is, liberation is attained upon seeing reality, characterized by distinctions, emptiness is the realm of adventitious defilements, characterized by non-distinction, it is not empty of the unsurpassed Dharma," arises from the understanding of looking outward and looking inward, leading to divergent paths of speculation and practice. The seventh part is divided into two points: summarizing the main points and incidentally explaining the connection of the path. First is the main text, which explains the summary meaning of the beginning and end of the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, etc., and elucidates the explanation of the sequential order from Buddha to Dharma, etc. That is to say, within the realm of knowable objects, the incomparable and non-deceptive entity is only the fully enlightened Buddha, who, by the power of purifying adventitious defilements, naturally sees everything, therefore the Buddha is the primary object of all speech. And the sacred Dharma is what the Victorious One has truly seen, and out of compassion, proclaims in the form of the path. The Sangha, as the scripture says, "From where have you come? The disciple also comes from the same path." In this way, they enter and follow that path, therefore all Buddhist scriptures and treatises explain the nature, qualities, and functions of the Three Jewels, etc. Therefore, here, these meanings are briefly combined as the initial basis for discussion. That is to say, the Buddha is unconditioned, spontaneously accomplished, and not influenced by other conditions.
