Named Rinchen Dorje, he was learned in all inner and outer schools of thought and had attained accomplishment. Therefore, he was known as the son of the first great pillar of Ü-Tsang, Pandit Sugata, the elder son of Pandit Sajjana, known as a holy person. Recognizing him as a wise man, he listened to these two treatises. Thereafter, the great Bodhisattva Ngok Lotsawa Lodan Sherab heard of this teaching while practicing Dharma in the land of Kashmir, and translated it into Tibetan in that very place, and then extensively taught it in Tibet. Prior to that, the Bodhisattva of the Good Aeon, the great scholar Jowo Je (Atiśa), was requested by the abbot of Yerpa, Jangchub Jungne, and it was translated by Naktsö Lotsawa Tsultrim Gyalwa. Based on that, Sharawa Chenpo gave explanations, but later most of the students preferred the Ngok translation, so it is said that he gave explanations based on that twice. Later, Patsab Lotsawa and Marpa Dopa and many others translated the Uttaratantra, but it seems that the study and practice based on that did not last long. Ngok Lotsawa Chenpo composed a small ṭīkā on the commentary of the Uttaratantra. Based on that, his own disciples Drolungpa Lodrö Jungne and Zhang Tsepangpa Chökyi Lama each composed a ṭīkā. Based on these two, Zhang's disciple Nyangrenpa Chökyi Sherab composed an explanation, and later Phyawa Chöseng, his disciple Tsang Nakpa Tsöndrü Sengge, and Danbakpa Smawai Sengge and others also composed many explanations. The followers of these, such as Lodrö Tsungme, Phagdru Gyaltsen Zangpo, Rongtön Sheja Künga Zik and many other scholars, spread the volumes of explanations throughout Tibet. All of these followed the tradition of Ngok Lotsawa Chenpo, but there are many differences in the expression of Dharma terms. Furthermore, the khenpo of Grapa Ngönshé, who was known as Tsankha Woché, also went to Kashmir together with the great translator. He said to Sajjana, "I am going to practice the Dharma of the Victorious Maitreya as a death practice, so please give me the instructions and bless my mind." Then, Zuk Gawai Dorje acted as the translator and recited all five of the Maitreya Dharmas. He also gave the instructions on the Uttaratantra very well, so Tsan Drimé Sherab went to Tibet and taught in Ü-Tsang. Zuk Gawai Dorje

In accordance with the teachings of Lama Lhasadzha, he composed decorative commentaries and also translated the root text and commentary of "Distinguishing Dharma and Dharmata." This person is also known as a Maitreya Dharma meditator, possessing extraordinary uncommon explanations and practices. Although these traditions originated from this, through the vision of wisdom, he realized the intention of Maitreya as it is. The omniscient Rangjung Dorje (the Third Karmapa, 1284-1339) composed a summary of the chapters of the Uttaratantra, which Karma Konchok and others extensively explained. Karma Trinleypa the Great composed a commentary incorporating oral instructions. Gö Lotsawa Zhönnu Pal also made a very detailed explanation of Asanga's commentary, which is in accordance with this tradition. The omniscient Dolpopa the Great initiated an uncommon tradition, following the commentaries, and the lineage of disciples, especially the omniscient Tāranātha and others, established the doctrine through explanations and practices, and the lineage of the commentary still exists. Later, from Palchenpo Chökyi Döndrup, Kunsig Chökyi Jungne heard and explained it many times, and in that lineage, the wise Zurmang Lhalungpa Karma Tenphel wrote annotations and also received the transmission of the explanation well. Here, we mainly follow the footsteps of Gyalwa Rangjung Zhap. Fifth, the Bhagavan said, "All sentient beings constantly possess the essence of the Buddha." Here, the meaning of the essence is taken as the basis for explanation. Regarding the manner of explanation, in both India and Tibet, there are countless different traditions following their respective scriptures, reasoning, and meditation. However, the definitive meaning Madhyamaka teachers consider it this way: all the definitive meanings of the three turnings of the Dharma wheel are summarized into the two selflessnesses. The ultimate meaning of that is that, in terms of the individual and the phenomena, it is empty of the grasper and the grasped. It is not merely a negation in the manner of non-existence, but as it is said in the Madhyāntavibhāga: "In persons and in phenomena, the absence of entity is emptiness; that which is the existence of non-entity, that itself is empty of that." Therefore, here, the emptiness that is not a negation in the manner of non-existence, the nature of self-awareness and self-luminosity, is taught as the Tathāgatagarbha.
