Am I separate? 4 When looking at it, does the arising of thoughts completely vanish without a trace? 5 Does the arising of thoughts, without being identified, exist in a state of self-liberation, clarity, and nakedness? 6 If it's like the latter, then what is the difference between the naked clarity on the previous state of abiding and the naked clarity seen on the thoughts this time? If the arising of thoughts appears without being identified, is there a thought of "not being identified" or not? 7 By pulling the thoughts back and placing them in clarity and emptiness, does it become clarity and awareness? 8 By looking at the nature of the spontaneously born, primordial awareness that is not defiled by anything, see if arising and liberation occur simultaneously. 9 The way of appearing Be sure to determine if it has been integrated into your continuum. Eighteenth session. Three, observing from the perspective of appearances: Slightly adjust the previously familiar posture. Direct your gaze towards a suitable object, such as a pillar, vase, wall, mountain, or house, and then observe it nakedly. Relax a little, and then observe again. Similarly, for the objects of the five senses, such as forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and textures, observe their essence, color, shape, and the three states of arising, ceasing, and abiding. Observe the root of all things, such as sickness, suffering, heat, and cold. After observing in this way, does the appearance cease? Do you and the appearance seem different? Does the appearance come back to the mind? Does the mind think that the appearance is an appearance and grasp it outwardly? Observe whether the mind and appearance are inseparable, and whether they are in a state of objectlessness, clarity and emptiness, and openness. When observing an object, if the object is clearly visible there, is there a sound of "What is this?" If there is no thought of "What is this?" and the object has not disappeared, but is in a state of openness, then is the mind that observes also in a state of non-attachment and clarity, like a child seeing a temple, and the two seem neither one nor different, and there seems to be no such thought. If it's like the former, then observe where the thought of "What is this?" is. Nineteenth session. Four, observing whether body and mind are separate: Then, are body and mind one or separate? If they are one, then the body that has birth and death and the mind that has no birth and death are not the same. Moreover, the body as matter and the mind as awareness are also not the same. If they are one, then when the body dies, the mind will also die. If a thorn pricks the body, then the mind will also
