Although it is said to do it separately, in most cases, doing this much is enough. If you find a place to settle, rest a little in the nature of settling. Shorten each session and increase the number of sessions. In between sessions, avoid watching dramas and other entertainment, intense activities, and excessive speech, and relax your body and mind. The second is without support, which is divided into two types: with wind and without wind. The first is: first, rely on counting the breath to hold the mind, just be aware of the breath going in and out, and don't let the mind wander elsewhere. First, hold the mind three times in the first air sac, then seven times, etc., depending on the situation. If the mind is agitated, rest a little occasionally, let it calm down, and observe the experience. Then, rely on filling the breath to hold the mind, slowly inhale three or nine breaths through both nostrils, along with swallowing saliva, without pressing too hard, but gently pressing on the abdomen. Hold this state as long as possible, without letting the mind wander, and remain calm. If you cannot bear it, slowly exhale through the nostrils, and when exhaling and inhaling, proceed as before, just maintain awareness and do not let the mind wander elsewhere. If you feel tired, let the air flow freely in and out of the nostrils, without letting the mind wander elsewhere, relax, and maintain clear awareness. Rest a little, and then let it calm down again and observe the experience. By doing this, if the mind becomes scattered, it is the fault of being too forceful, so relax. If the mind becomes dull and very agitated, it is fatigue, so rest for a day. If you feel dizzy or absent-minded, it is the wind acting up, so rely on nutritious food and get a massage. Up to this point, this is called making the unheld mind held, and you must find a place for the mind to settle. If in this process, it feels like the mind's flow becomes more, and the settling point becomes small. All the previous thoughts scattered like flowing water, that is because of ignorance, but now one or two thoughts arise, and wisdom can grasp them, and slightly find a settling point, so don't think it is a fault. Don't chase the beginning of thoughts, don't follow thoughts, but strive to relax, so that settling will appear. If you don't know anything about the state of mind scattering and settling, and there is no control, then after making a loud sound of "Phat" (Tibetan: ཕཊ་)

Or like a loud shout, The mind in between the cessation of the previous thought and the non-arising of the subsequent thought is like a state of non-thought. Then, convey the meaning of arising discriminating thoughts such as "do this, do that." Alternately tighten and loosen, etc., skillfully guide through various methods, bring it into the state, and then diligently practice, and the state will be obtained. Second, no wind: Having obtained various states of mind in this way, keep the body posture as before, and do not fixate the mind on anything, whether it is external forms, sounds, etc., or internal breath coming and going, etc. Do not think about the past, such as "I did this, this happened." Do not expect the future, such as "I will do this, this will happen." Do not keep in mind the present thoughts, such as "this appears, this abides." Relax, be at ease, and abide softly. While abiding, if there is distraction, do it again as before. Do this many times in a short period of time. For all kinds of searching for a state, if you tighten too much and exert too much effort, it will become an obstacle to the mind abiding serenely, so it is better to relax the body and mind most of the time. After abiding in this way, if the mind is scattered or wandering, sit in a warm place, eat nutritious food, massage, and look down. Place the mind below the navel and forcefully press down the male energy. If the mind is sinking or dull, sit in a cool place, sprinkle water on the face, eliminate impure air, and look up. Raise your spirits and work hard. If it still sinks, walk around and refresh the body. If you are drowsy and ignorant, go to a special place to prostrate and circumambulate. Vigorously perform offerings and confessions, etc. Pray earnestly for the arising of samadhi, and then engage in practice. This is called stabilizing the mind. If you cannot skillfully abide in the obtained state without reliance, you cannot obtain benefit from the formless, so skillfulness is very important. Moreover, if a drowsy state of entering unconsciousness appears, it is problematic, so work hard and repeat briefly again and again. If sinking or dullness occurs, and there is only a little awareness, the problem will naturally be eliminated, so let it adjust itself for a while, or raise your spirits slightly and engage in suitable practice. Second, the formless is divided into two: tightening and loosening. First
