May I attain the rainbow body in this very life. May the Lama always protect me. May obstacles be transformed into the path. May afflictions be liberated in their own place. May I realize the indivisibility of bliss and emptiness. May my mind turn to Dharma. May Dharma be experienced as the path. May I eliminate the errors of the path. May error arise as wisdom, please grant your blessings. This is a prayer composed by Karmapa Deshek, praying to the lineage of the four great rivers of transmission. This is a prayer and aspiration including the near lineage of the Six Dharmas, the lineage of union: The glory of indivisible bliss and emptiness, existence and peace, Holding the vajra and bell, the nature of skillful means and wisdom, Bhagavan who manifests through the dance of illusion, I pray, please bless my lineage. With great wisdom, realize the innate nature of reality, With virtuous activity, lead beings to liberation, The yogi of Chakrasamvara, Tilopa, I pray, please bless my lineage. Opening all lotus gardens, eliminating the darkness of ignorance, to the Dagpo Kagyu lineage, I pray. Unborn incarnate body, unobstructed enjoyment complete, nowhere abiding Dharmakaya, inseparable essence, master of the four bodies, to the Dagpo Kagyu lineage, I pray. Relying on which, one is free from the accumulation of faults, qualities increase like the waxing moon, wish-fulfilling Dagpo Kagyu lineage, I pray. The key to the meaning of the natural state, the supreme intention of the Victorious Ones with the lamp of Shamatha-Vipassana, the guide to the path of liberation, to the Dagpo Kagyu lineage, I pray. With the wings of skillful means and wisdom, increasing the strength of diligence, with the boat of activity liberating all beings, the helmsman of beings, to the Dagpo Kagyu lineage, I pray. With the Candali blazing in the place of emanation, completely dwelling in the center of the great bliss moon, burning the aggregates and elements into the Dharma wheel, may you bless me to experience innate bliss. Distinguished by twelve examples, all outer and inner dharmas are completely devoid of truth, one's own body is like the Vajrasattva image in a mirror, may you bless me to appear as a deity from the beginning. From the very firm intention of daytime illusory appearance, through the power of obtaining stable wind and mind in the throat, even in dreams, all dharmas are seen as dreams, may you bless me to find certainty. Through the power of purifying conceptual wind and mind into the central channel, all dharmas are completely pure like the center of the sky, without abandoning ignorance, liberated into the essence of the Dharmadhatu, may you bless me to realize the clear light Mahamudra. Although the place of transference and so on are not specified, having obtained stable movement of the life-sustaining wind, whenever the appearance of delusion arises, may you bless me to transfer like an arrow from the Brahma hole. Realizing the nature of death as ultimate truth, in the Dharmakaya, the clear light mother and child meet, from that nature, the Bardo illusory body, may you bless me to obtain the adornment of marks and signs. In short, in all my lifetimes, may I obtain the supreme leisure and fortune, enter the Great Vehicle path, and with the Lama who teaches the Vajrayana, may I never be separated. First, by ripening empowerment, may I tame the continuum, and with the profound path of the liberating two stages, may I easily attain the state of the all-pervading Lord Vajradhara, the master of the four bodies.
