They are gradually abandoned through the path of non-interruption. Then, three are included in the form realm, and then three are included in the formless realm. The former four are abandoned, because the abandonment of the cognitive obscurations of that level and the abandonment of the habitual tendencies of the afflictive obscurations are simultaneous. Secondly, the path of non-interruption of the first level simultaneously abandons the seeds of one hundred and eight conceptualizations of grasping and being grasped, which are to be abandoned by the path of seeing. The paths of non-interruption from the second to the tenth levels gradually abandon those seeds of cognitive obscurations to be abandoned by the path of meditation, dividing them into nine categories such as the great of the great. If one wonders, how can the path of non-interruption of the path of meditation abandon the seeds of one hundred and eight conceptualizations of grasping and being grasped, which are to be abandoned by the path of meditation? The thirty-six conceptualizations of grasping and being grasped, which are included in the desire realm, are divided into great, medium, and small. The paths of non-interruption of the second, third, and fourth levels gradually abandon them. Then, three are included in the form realm, thirty-six. Then, the thirty-six included in the formless realm are abandoned as before, so it should be understood that the meaning is the same. If one wonders, the commentaries say that the path of seeing abandons one hundred and eight afflictions to be abandoned by the path of seeing, and the path of meditation abandons one hundred and eight afflictive obscurations to be abandoned by the path of meditation. How can it be explained that the numbers of afflictions to be abandoned by the path of seeing and the path of meditation mentioned above are inconsistent? There is no fault, because saying one hundred and eight refers to the fact that there are so many cognitive obscurations, so it refers to the fact that there are so many habitual tendencies of afflictions that are the cause of those cognitive obscurations. The former refers to the fact that the afflictions themselves are distinguished in that way from the perspective of their nature and realm. Seventh, the first level has ten kinds of complete purification, the second level has eight, the third level has five, the fourth level has ten, the fifth level has ten, the sixth level has twelve, the seventh level has twenty, the eighth level has eight, and the ninth level has twelve. In short, there are ninety-five kinds of complete purification. The reason why the tenth level does not separately explain complete purification is that it is not absent because it is the occasion for explaining the results in order to generate joy, because it is included in the complete purification of the ninth level. Eighth, the first level sees one hundred Buddhas, and is blessed by them, enters one hundred samadhis, and the world

The realm of hundreds shakes, goes to hundreds of lands, manifests hundreds of worlds, ripens hundreds of sentient beings, abides for hundreds of kalpas, enters the prior and posterior boundaries of those, opens hundreds of Dharma doors, shows hundreds of bodies, shows each body surrounded by hundreds of thousands of retinues, therefore shows hundreds of thousands of twelve qualities. Likewise, the second ground increases a thousandfold, the third ground increases a hundred thousandfold, the fourth ground increases ten millionfold, the fifth ground increases a hundred thousand trillionfold, the sixth ground increases a hundred thousand trillionfold, the seventh ground increases a hundred thousand trillion kotisfold, the eighth ground obtains dust equal to ten hundred thousand trillionfold of three thousand great thousand worlds, the ninth ground obtains dust equal to ten hundred thousand trillionfold of countless Buddha lands, the tenth ground obtains dust equal to unspeakable and again unspeakable, as said in the Sutra of Ten Grounds and the Entering [the Bodhisattva Path]. The ninth ground, in the Ornament [of the Mahayana Sutras] it says: "Being near to enlightenment and seeing the meaning of sentient beings accomplished, great joy arises, therefore it is called the Extremely Joyful. Being free from the stain of immoral conduct and effort, it is called the Stainless Ground, the great light of Dharma, because it acts, it is called the Illuminating. Thus, the Dharma in accordance with enlightenment, is extremely able to burn like a ray of light, because it possesses that, that ground, because it burns the two, possesses light. Causing all sentient beings to fully ripen, and also protecting one's own mind, the wise are difficult to tame, therefore it is called Difficult to Tame. Relying on the Perfection of Wisdom, samsara and nirvana, because these two are directly realized, it is called the Ground of Direct Realization. Because it is connected with the one vehicle path, it is thought of as the Far Gone Ground. Because it is unmoved by the two conceptions, it is manifestly called the Immovable. Each individually correct knowing, excellent wisdom, that ground is excellent wisdom. Like clouds, the two, the Dharma of space, because it pervades, the cloud of Dharma." Thus. After passing the ninth ground, the wise one, at this time, the inferior one, on the basis of the name of the eighth ground, saying the lineage ground, the Vaibhashikas consider it only as the Solitary Realizer and the four paths of joining of the Bodhisattva, and the Great Patience of the Hearer, and the two Dharma Tops, because having obtained that, it is impossible to transform into another enlightenment. The reasoning of the Great Vehicle.
