It is not mentioned for other arguments, because fame is most important in determining the meaning of words. The second case is: when saying "property of the subject," does it refer to the property of the knowable subject, or the property of the provable dharma, or the property of the collective meaning, so that the usage becomes confusing, because the word "subject" can refer to these three cases. If asked in this way, the answer is that there is no fault. Because in determining the definition of the sign, it refers to the knowable subject; in determining the pervasion, it refers to the provable dharma; in determining the provable, it refers to the collective meaning, so according to the specific situation, it is understood as the property of the knowable subject. For example, like the word "Sendhava". If it is said that determining the definition of the sign refers to the definition of the three modes and the determination of the relationship between the signifier and the sign, and not the first mode of the sign, because there is no direct relationship with it. If so, then in determining the pervasion, the word "subject" should also refer to the knowable subject, because it is also determining the definition of the sign. There is no direct relationship, so the reason cannot be established, because if the first mode of the sign is established, the reason is established; if it is not established, the reason is not established, which is approached through fame, and also approached through specific circumstances. Third, the difference between real name and imputed name, the two thoughts of real dharma and imputed dharma. The first case is: it has been said when examining the expressed and the expresser. The second case is: thinking of real dharma in the collective meaning, and thinking of imputed dharma in the individual meaning. The first case is: for the collective meaning of dharma and the subject, words such as "subject" are used as real names, because from outsiders to all logicians, it is famous from the beginning. The second case has three aspects: the reason for imputation, the necessity of imputation, and the harm to reality. The first case is: using an imputed name, relying on reason and necessity, in terms of reason, there are two types: using similarity as the reason and using relationship as the reason. The latter has two types: using the causal relationship as the reason and using the collective relationship as the reason. The first case is: there are two types: establishing the name of the cause on the effect and establishing the name of the effect on the cause. The second is

Although inseparable from the relationship of cause and effect, to express it more clearly, there are two situations: applying the name of a part to the whole, and applying the name of the whole to a part. The first case includes examples such as "eye consciousness" and "drum sound." The second case includes examples such as saying "the cloth is burned" when a part of a cloth is burned. Here, the reason for referring to dharma and the subject of dharma (dharmin) by the name of a part is that it is a case of applying the name of a part to the whole, such as saying "the cloth is burned" when a part of a cloth is burned. Regarding the second situation, there are three points: the necessity of calling dharma the probandum, the necessity of calling the subject of dharma the probandum, and avoiding being the same as the uncalled situation. The first point is that when determining pervasion, if one does not say "the reason (hetu) and the probandum are co-extensive," but says "the reason and the dharma are co-extensive," then there may be a misunderstanding that the contradictory sign is also co-extensive with the dharma being negated, so is it also a correct sign? To eliminate this misunderstanding, and to facilitate combination in some cases, it is said this way. The second point is that when determining the first mode of the sign, it is necessary to refer to the subject of dharma that one wants to understand by the name of a part, and establish it as a dharma of the part, and then call it the first mode of the sign. Because in this case, being established as the dharma of the part is the first mode of the sign, being established as the dharma of the subject of dharma is the first mode of the sign, and being established as the dharma of the subject of dharma that one wants to understand is the first mode of the sign, these three statements are insurmountable. Since the latter two statements are unreasonable, to argue this point, there are two situations: the dharma of the subject of dharma is unreasonable, and the dharma of the subject of dharma that one wants to understand is unreasonable. The first case is further divided into direct cause and eliminating disputes. First, if this is the case, then is the establishment of the dharma of the subject of dharma in a similar example also the first mode of the sign? If this question arises, then using the apprehended object of eye consciousness as a sign to argue that sound is impermanent, is the first mode of the sign established? If this question arises, then is that sign about it a correct sign? To eliminate these questions, instead of saying the dharma of the subject of dharma, the dharma of the part is said. The second point is divided into three points: part and subject of dharma.
