Since only these three reasons have established a connection, does the arising and ceasing thing, in any of these three reasons, become established on the object? The arising and ceasing thing, as the subject, why can't it be established as a satisfactory, mindless, true reason that is established on the Samkhya itself? It should be established! Because it is established on the Samkhya itself as any of the three reasons that establish it in this way. If it is not included in these three, then other opponents also, as the subject, should not understand from other arising and ceasing things as satisfactory and mindless, because the arising and ceasing thing is not included in any of the three reasons that establish it in this way. The third is, if the pervasion of the reason of the Svātantrika must be established on the previous opponent himself, then the reason of the Prasangika must also be established on the previous opponent himself, and if you also think so, then for the Vaiseṣika who thinks that the general substance, one self, pervades the meaning on many manifestations, the elephant-trunk of the sect says: The general dharma of the cow, as the subject, should become many, because it pervades the meaning on many manifestations, if you state such a consequence, then it will not work, right? If you say, using the exclusion examined by others that pervades the meaning on many as a reason, stating the consequence that it should become many, then as the subject, even if your reason is not established on the previous opponent himself, stating the consequence is not impossible, because if one many does not exist, then in order to refute the others that pervade the meaning on many manifestations, the consequence is stated, because it is not actually establishing the proponent of the Svātantrika. If many do not exist, then it can refute the pervasion of meaning on many manifestations, because many manifestations and many are related in one self. Therefore, when stating the Svātantrika, it must be established on the previous opponent himself, for example: The general dharma of the cow, as the subject, is not pervading the meaning on many manifestations, because it is not many. Second, it is divided into three: Explaining the distinction of "meaning" that is spoken, establishing the "meaning" of distinction itself with reason, because it is not the subject of the proponent that establishes. The first is, in short, the "meaning" that is spoken in the definition of the inference for others, as the subject, even if the three characteristics are not complete, but the sound, that is, the self that is falsely established as a reason by pure scriptures and concepts, for example, when establishing the sound as permanent, stating any of the pervasion and the similar class, becomes the reason of the object of the inference for others.

The reason for saying this is to establish that it is not merely based on fabricated reasoning. Because merely showing the reason that possesses the three characteristics is to explain the inference for others. If you ask, what is the reason why fabricated reasoning cannot become a valid reason? The object to be established is the subject, it is not established from the reason merely fabricated by scriptures and conceptualization, but from the real reason that possesses the three characteristics. Second, conceptualizations and scriptures, etc., are the subject, those that you arbitrarily establish are mistaken in establishing the object to be established, because you do not follow the reality of the meaning, but are only related to the intention of the author, and it is possible to be different or consistent with the reality of the meaning. Third, there are three points: the subject term is not a direct or indirect proof. Therefore, there is no fault in establishing others, but not in oneself. Refuting the debate that the subject term is a proof. First, there are three points: the two words are the same in directly becoming a proof, and there is a difference in whether or not they indirectly become a proof. Refuting that the subject term is an indirect proof. First, the word "meaning" has shown that in order to directly establish the object to be established, it must have the three characteristics of meaning, so it is established that neither of the two words is a proof that directly establishes the object to be established. For example, stating the subject term "sound is impermanent," and "whatever is made is pervaded by impermanence," etc., these two statements are the subject, and they do not have the ability to directly establish the object to be established, "sound is impermanent," because they do not possess the three characteristics of establishing sound as impermanent. Because the object to be established must be understood through the meaning of the three characteristics. Therefore, these two words are the subject, and they do not abide in establishing sound as impermanent from themselves, because they do not have the ability to establish sound as impermanent. If you think, then is it impossible for the subject term to become a correct reason? The word of the subject is the subject, and it is a valid proof for showing the intention of the motivation in the continuum of the speaker himself, because it possesses the three characteristics of establishment in that way. This word is the subject, and it does not directly establish its own meaning, because doubts about its own meaning will arise from you. Second, the subject term named "sound is impermanent."
