Regarding the statement of signs and inferences established in a place, it is necessary because it is to dispel the confusion caused by the occurrence of similarities, etc. Fifth, for the great wisdom that is free from the cause of delusion that constantly mistakes things like color as permanent, there is no need to apply signs and inferences to establish the impermanence of color, etc., because you directly see color, etc., and through the definite knowledge derived from it, you ascertain all aspects of impermanence, etc. If things and their impermanence are not different in essence, how can they become subjects and predicates? For a subject that does not have many different qualities in essence, such as sound, it can be a subject. Many reasons that are different from inversion, and how the different sounds are distinguished, will exist like a basis with differences in essence, because even if they are the same in essence, they are separated from all different categories such as unmade, permanent, etc. Therefore, sound, etc., if you do not have the cause of delusion of permanence, then after seeing you, there is no need to apply signs and inferences to establish your impermanence, because if you do not have the cause of delusion of permanence, then you will generate the definite knowledge of impermanence that is consistent with yourself by its very nature. Third, there is also inference in the system of one destruction of things, or according to the Vaibhashika and other systems that consider things impermanent from existence to non-existence, the valid cognition that determines the impermanence of color is not a valid cognition other than direct perception and inference, because when seeing the last moment of color, the inference of the destruction of color is established from the sign of not seeing the previous color. The reason is established, because in their system, when a thing that previously existed disappears and becomes invisible, it is said that the previous thing is impermanent. Fourth, incidentally refuting the views of other schools on impermanence, it is divided into two parts: first, state the opponent's view and ask its meaning; then examine the two extremes of the question and refute them. First, in which of the Vaisheshika and Samkhya schools is it the case that a thing is impermanent merely by existing?

It is not. If so, then the sky and so on should also become impermanent, because of that reason. It is not just a thing either, because there is no connection with things, so it cannot be said that the impermanence of this thing is this, because it has not obtained such a name. Therefore, the word "impermanence" itself is determined between two extremes, that is, the object that exists now in the middle, such as form, is existent, and its suitability is a way of expressing inclusion of connection. So, you may ask, what are the two extreme qualities of that existing special thing referring to? It is divided into two: negating that the previous and subsequent non-existence are the two extremes; negating that cause and effect are the two extremes. The first is: if the thing did not arise before and does not exist, and later it is destroyed and does not exist, these two are the extremes, then you may ask, why are the previous non-existence and the subsequent non-existence not impermanent? It is not the impermanence of things, because the sixth case of "the impermanence of things", and the combination of words such as dharma and the possessor of dharma are not allowed, because it is non-substantial, so there is no connection with things. Then, you may say, how can the word of the sixth case, together with existence, be combined for the two extremes as the subject? It is not allowed, because it is non-substantial. Furthermore, existence itself is special, its connection is the subject, distinguished by the extremes of previous non-existence and subsequent non-existence, this will not happen, because it is permanent. The reason for the refutation is admitted. The second is divided into four points: things did not exist before, there is no cause and effect; the connection is permanent, so it is not a result; if things did not exist before, if it can function, it is self-contradictory; therefore, the non-existence of things before has been proven. The first point: if the cause is the previous extreme, and the result is the later extreme, and the thing in between is the existing special thing, then the existing special thing as the subject, distinguished by cause and effect, will become non-existent, because cause and effect themselves are not established. It is universally established, because for the non-existence of previous non-existence, saying that it is the special of previous non-existence is also not established. The previous reason is admitted, because the intelligent one does not admit that things did not exist before, because they admit that there is no connection between things and previous non-existence. The second point:
