There are three situations: the sign of the dying mind is uncertain, its similar example lacks Dharma, and refuting the argument that does not lack Dharma. The first situation is: the Lokayata says, the last mind of an ordinary person at the time of death does not connect with the consciousness of the next life, because it is the dying mind, just like the dying mind of an Arhat. If this is the case, then the last mind at the time of death is the subject to be established, and your reason for arguing that the last mind of an ordinary person at the time of death does not connect with the consciousness of the next life is incorrect, because you connect with other consciousnesses, what valid cognition contradicts this? Because there is none. The second situation is: the mind of an Arhat at the time of death is also the subject to be established, and your similar example for arguing that the mind of an ordinary person at the time of death does not connect with the consciousness of the next life is incorrect, from which valid cognition do you think there is no connection? Because there is no valid cognition to establish it. The third situation is divided into two types: refuting the view established by the Buddhist scriptures, and refuting the view established by the Lokayata's own reasoning. The first situation is: the Buddhist says, it is well known from your Buddhist tenets, so it is used as an example to explain, if this is the case, then the Lokayata is the subject to be established, and it should not be thought that from the Buddhist tenets the dying mind of an Arhat is not connected, because the Buddhist tenets are not valid cognition, if you follow the tenets that do not establish the meaning with valid cognition, why should you not follow them? Here, Deva Shāka says that the dying mind of an Arhat does not produce the mind of the next life, which is definitive meaning, and producing the mind of the next life is provisional meaning, while Sun etc. say the opposite, but in order to show the Lokayata that the commitment is self-contradictory, it is only asking what is the reason why the dying mind of an Arhat is not connected, and it is not that their own tenets think it is connected. The second is divided into four types: stating the acceptance and asking questions, elaborating on the reasoning of refutation, eliminating the erroneous arguments about it, and explaining the conclusion established by the refutation. The first is: if the dying mind of an Arhat does not produce the mind of the next life, because the cause of that mind is separated from the body, if this is the case, then the separation of the cause from the body itself is the subject to be established, why not say it when arguing that the last mind of an ordinary person at the time of death does not produce the mind of the next life? Should say

The reason is valid. What can be stated as the probans of the example? Because the reason is the same. If you accept, then what is the use of the uncertain mind of death? It is meaningless. The second part has six points: Refuting that the body itself is the substantial cause of the mind; refuting that body and mind are cause and effect with proximate causes; refuting the support and supported that do not generate; refuting body and mind as cause and effect by other reasons; refuting that mind is the nature of the body; refuting that mind is generated by relying on the body. The first part has three points: Refuting that it is a substantial cause by examining it; it is only a cause, but not a remover; if it is a substantial cause, then there are too many consequences. The first point is: If you say that the reason for the basis is that for both the example and the subject of debate, we state it as the probans that does not generate subsequent knowledge. If the mind arises from the body, does it arise from a body with sense organs or a body without sense organs? For the time being, the mind does not actually arise from a body with sense organs, because if it arises, then the mind, as the subject, should clearly grasp forms like the mind of the eye, because it is the other-consciousness that actually arises from the sense organ of the eye. The other sense organs are also applied in the same way, thus preventing arising from each sense organ, so does it arise from the collection of all five? The five sense organs, as the subject, also do not actually generate one mind from your collection, because they each have different abilities to generate eye-consciousness, etc., which are their own results. If the mind actually arises from a body without sense organs, then the body without sense organs, as the subject, will not actually generate mind from you, because you yourself are a non-mental thing. If body and mind are not support and supported, then it contradicts co-existence, if asked. The body and mind of a being, as the subject, do not co-exist because of the reason of being support and supported, even if they are not support and supported, they co-exist because they arise from the same cause. For example, like the five sense organs of some beings co-existing, and like form and taste co-existing depending on the same collection. If the body changes due to illness, etc., then the mind also changes, so the mind actually depends on the body, if said so, then for others.
