Explanation of the establishment of valid cognition that distinguishes between what is true and what is not. Explanation of the establishment of valid cognition that distinguishes between what is true and what is not. First, the connection is shown by association. The chapter on the establishment of valid cognition. Secondly, there are three parts to the explanation of the establishment of valid cognition that distinguishes between what is true and what is not: first, the connection is shown by association; in the middle, the text of the chapter itself is explained; and finally, the conclusion is shown by the name. In the first part, the two gods, Lha and Shakya (referring to Śāntarakṣita and Kamalaśīla), believe that the treatise on the nature of valid cognition by the teacher is the chapter on direct perception in the Sutra, and the explanation of it is the chapter on direct perception in the Commentary on Valid Cognition. The main reason for this is that the inference for oneself has already been explained, and now, at the beginning of direct perception, the commentary on the homage of the Valid Cognition Sutra is to be explained. It is thought that the meaning of distinguishing between what is true and what is not, and so on, is this. Tibetans believe that the view of the gods is that the treatise on the nature of valid cognition is an explanation of the Valid Cognition Sutra as a whole, which is like a meaningless bubble bursting from the ocean of crude wisdom. The two explanations of the Ornament are that distinguishing between what is true and what is not is the establishment of valid cognition by distinguishing the reality of the four noble truths. Before that, the inference for oneself is to be explained. In general, the nature of the order is the direction of the fundamental view, and details should be added to the distinction between what is true and what is not, and one's own ultimate tenet should be understood from what has been said before. In the middle, the text of the chapter itself is explained. Marginal analysis. Secondly, there are two types: marginal analysis and actual content. The first is: Some of the ancients divided the homage of the Sutra into two types: explaining in order and explaining in reverse order. The first is explaining valid cognition, explaining becoming, explaining benefiting beings, and so on. This explanation does not understand the context of the text. Here, becoming valid cognition is taken as the probandum, and then its four proofs are explained in order and in reverse order, but valid cognition and becoming are not explained in reverse order. If it is thought that "because of what it is valid cognition itself" is explaining valid cognition in reverse order, then "therefore it is valid cognition" should also be explaining valid cognition in reverse order when explaining in order. Therefore, these two texts are the conclusions of two ways of explaining, not the text explained in reverse order.

It is not so. Explaining the actual meaning. Explaining the established as valid cognition. The second part has three: explaining the established as valid cognition, explaining its three modes of proof, and explaining the necessity of praising with valid cognition. The first part has two: showing the Bhagavan as valid cognition, and explaining the necessity of saying "become". The first part has three: showing the valid cognition that comes from the sutras, eliminating the contradiction between one's own system and others, and applying it to the meaning of the present context. The first part has three: explaining the definition and its meaning, eliminating the three faults of the general definition, and explaining the determiners on the basis of the subject. The first part is, in the praise of the sutra, if the Bhagavan is praised in terms of valid cognition, then what is the nature of valid cognition? By what is it determined to be valid cognition? Here, the nature of valid cognition is knowledge that is not deceptive. That which is not deceptive also has three characteristics: In what action is it not deceptive? It is not deceptive in the object of entering and withdrawing. What agent is not deceptive? The wisdom that measures how things exist according to valid cognition is not deceptive. How is the action not deceptive? If one enters because of having its own characteristic, then existing in a way that can perform its function is not deceptive. If one withdraws because of not having its own characteristic, then being empty of the ability to perform its function is not deceptive. The Sakya's explanation is different from others. The second part has three: eliminating the faults of non-pervasion, over-pervasion, and impossibility. The first part is, the definition of valid cognition, "not deceptive," has the fault of non-pervasion, because there is no non-deception in the valid cognition that arises from sound. If one says "arising from sound," does it mean understanding the intention of motivation from the sound of speech, or understanding the meaning of what is said? According to the first case, then that which arises from such a sound is also the subject, and is not deceptive, because it shows the object of entry that the speaker clearly wants to express. Clearly showing this is the action of the speaker, that is, to prove the intention to express, the image of things like a pot that appears clearly in the mind, the sound of "pot separated from the five places" is the subject, is valid cognition, is suitable to be a reason, because it possesses the three aspects. Therefore, the wisdom that relies on it is not deceptive with respect to the object of entry, so it is valid cognition. According to the second case, then the sound itself is the subject, the door that arises from the object of expression that one clings to
