Even if placed on the ground, it is not an accepted measure, therefore, there is no reason to cling to pouring the meaning of that sound, learned, into the lamp of mantra, it is the same as having none. The fourth is: Worldly person, it is appropriate to generate doubt as to whether your accepted Veda sound is definitely expressive of a single meaning. Because in that acceptance, the Veda sounds are seen to have the ability to apply to various meanings. Therefore, the Veda sound itself, capable of showing various meanings, those who have not seen the determinant that determines its meaning, will surely doubt what your meaning is, that is, they should doubt. Because there is no certainty that it is impossible to apply to meanings other than the intended meaning. The second point is divided into two parts: Through the guise of the Vedas, it is established that it was made by a person. If it is not made by a person, then the determination of meaning will be contradictory. The first point is: If the Veda itself shows the determination of meaning when speculating about the king, and it shows it to others, then, king speculator, you yourself have spoken the determination of the Veda meaning. Whoever speaks the determination of the Veda meaning in the name of the Veda, for those, please examine the difference between whether you have spoken it yourself or not, because it is the same. For example, some cunning people say, "The road is this," and say, "This stump will speak." And another person does not borrow the name of the stump, but says himself, "The road is this," these two people who speak the road with their own words are no different, it is like that. The second point is: From where is it determined that the sound of the Veda is naturally an explainer of one meaning, that is, it is not. Because it can be applied to all meanings. Furthermore, the sound of the Veda, apart from being determined as the expresser of each meaning through the expression of intention, through what measure can one know the connection between the expressed meaning and nature, that is, one does not know. Because the connection between the expressed meaning and self and other is beyond the senses, that is, it is not the object of measure. From where is it determined that that Veda sound is definitely the only expresser of one meaning, that is, it is not. Because it was not made by a person. This is universal, the expression of intention is the various meanings of the sounds.

It is the definitive cause as the expressed, and the symbol is the manifester of that which is intended to be expressed, and that symbol, if not man-made, is because it is not there. The fourth is, the sound of the Vedas, possessing the nature of dharma. For other meanings to be expressed, even the intention to express cannot be applied, because for the only meaning to be expressed, it is determined by its own nature. Again, that, possessing the nature of dharma. From you, understanding things, the symbol will also become meaningless, because of the previous reason. If it is said that the connection of self-nature is made clear by the symbol, then the symbol will not become meaningless, then, the symbol, possessing the nature of dharma. From you, the difference between the self-nature connection of sound and meaning is made clear, that is, the application to that itself, from where does the determination come? Because it enters only by intention. The symbol, possessing the nature of dharma. That sound can enter by its own nature, it will not become clear that it only manifests the meaning of intention, because for that, the determination of its own expressed meaning by its own nature, what is called the determination of application, what is there? Because there is not, therefore, for any meaning, the intention enters autonomously. These two verses are intermediate verses. Second, refuting the establishment by a sign that does not deceive in one aspect, divided into two: expressing the intention, explaining the refutation. The first is, other than "fire repels cold," the sound of the Vedas is also of the nature of dharma. It is such a true meaning, because it is a part of the Vedas. For example, just as the statement "fire repels cold" is true, other elder logicians say so. The second part is divided into three: showing that the establishment is residual, showing harm to the establishment itself, and refuting through extreme faults. The first is, being a part of the Vedas, possessing the nature of dharma. The elephant of reason has stopped you, this correct reason, because for pervasiveness there is a remainder of doubt, it is the very nature of delusion. For example, for the remaining fruits, in order to establish that the taste is the same as what has been eaten, because the nature of what has been eaten and the shape are the same, and, for being cooked in the same container, also, from that sign to establish that the remaining fruits are cooked.
