Therefore, the listener is also fully endowed with the three qualities. The key meaning is: Here it is directly shown that there is actually no benefit for a vessel possessing the three faults, so the three faults must be abandoned. Through the power of "also," it is shown that there is benefit for a vessel possessing the three qualities. From the Pramāṇavārttika, taking the example of an unjust mind, it indirectly benefits a vessel possessing the three faults, and directly shows the intention of compassion. In short, in the Rigs gter it is said: "Those who have wisdom, are fair, and seek meaning, speak this with a compassionate mind." Therefore, the earlier scholars divided bad wisdom and no wisdom into two types and explained them as four faults, which was not their intention. Secondly, the author's own mind has long been accustomed to the meaning of the Compendium of Valid Cognition, so he attaches great importance to the meaning, that is, in order to effortlessly generate realization, he is happy to write this Pramāṇavārttika. This is like what is said in the Bodhicaryāvatāra: "I composed this treatise to tame my own mind." Like this, it is a humble word to abandon the arrogance of other authors. Regarding the second point, some people think that there are three valid cognitions that measure the place to be measured, and two languages that show them to others. The first is that there is the self-benefit inference that realizes the hidden, and in order to prove that the scriptures are valid for the very hidden, the meaning of the homage verses of the Compendium is declared, that is, the validity is established. There is also the direct perception that realizes the manifest, and it is unreasonable to divide it into three like this. If it is thought that it is to show that there are three valid cognitions that have the three objects to be measured, and the three chapters of the first chapter are explained, then the Compendium and the Pramāṇavārttika do not have the three objects to be measured, which is unreasonable. The second chapter is to prove the valid person, not to mainly prove that the scriptures are valid. And the other-benefit inference is to indirectly show the inference through the actual display of signs, not the language that shows all three valid cognitions to others. Some people also say that the cause of explaining the Sutra, the self-benefit inference, is first explained. The homage verses of the Compendium are explained. By preventing other sides, direct perception is explained. The inference for the sake of others is explained. And so on. Others think that self-benefit inference and

In the middle. The praise of the Pramana Sutra is spoken. Numbers and so on are shown, and direct perception is spoken. Inference for the sake of others is spoken. Thus it is said. Some say that due to necessity, the first chapter of the Pramana Sutra on self-interest is spoken. Separating the path and the non-path, the verses of praise of the Pramana Sutra are spoken. Eliminating the four kinds of wrong conceptions, the chapter on direct perception of the Pramana Sutra is spoken. Explaining the statement of proof together with its meaning, the chapter on the benefit of others of the Pramana Sutra is spoken. Although these only seem to slightly recognize the subject matter of the last three chapters, the uncommon chapter order of this treatise does not appear. Moreover, since self-interest inference is the cause for explaining the Pramana Sutra, the initial explanation will also be refuted later, so it is not reasonable. So how is it? There are three aspects to this: In order to distinguish between meaning and non-meaning, the chapter on self-interest is explained. First, the connection of the boundary is shown. In order to distinguish between meaning and non-meaning, the chapter on self-interest is explained. It is explained that the valid means of distinguishing between meaning and non-meaning is established. The remaining two chapters that are relevant to the occasion are explained. The first has three aspects: First, the connection of the boundary is shown. In the middle, the text of the chapter itself is explained. Finally, the conclusion is shown by name. The first is: If this treatise is written as a commentary on the Compendium, then what is the reason for first explaining self-interest inference, which is inconsistent with the chapter order? In the self-commentary of four thousand five hundred verses, it is said: "Distinguishing between meaning and non-meaning depends on inference, and there is also inverted conception about it, so it is explained in order to establish it." This meaning has two aspects: refutation and establishment. The first is: Some scholars say that meaning is beneficial, non-meaning is not beneficial, and distinguishing them is to accept or reject the two. Since it depends on inference, Shakya Blo thinks that inference is explained first. Is it a single exclusion that distinguishing it depends only on inference, or is it a pervasive single exclusion that depends only on inference? According to the former, distinguishing it also depends on direct perception, so direct perception should also be explained first. According to the latter, it is not reasonable, because distinguishing it also depends on direct perception. If it is said that distinguishing it only
