Now (30b) of. Because no noble person distinguished by the nature of purity is observed. If it is not established, then just as the Vaibhashikas admit that a separate living being, a person, is a designation established on a person, not a real entity, so too in name, a person must also be admitted as a designation established on pure and impure aggregates, not a real entity. Which is the pure Dharma-formed person, the ultimate truth of self-nature spontaneously accomplished, and the yoga seen by Vajrayana practitioners, which is the true conventional truth? If so, then the conventional truth of imputed appearance and the Dharma of the conventional truth imputed by inverted appearance cannot replace the Dharma that has become it. Moreover, your own system also falls into self-contradiction. If it is a pure person, then it is not filth, therefore it is not a filthy being. But you think that in the continuum of a filthy being's person, there is purity that has become a Buddha, so you say that if it is a sentient being, it is not a Buddha. Whatever you think in your heart, you say that filthy beings are not Buddhas. The expression seems to be true. Therefore, all the words spoken by exerting the skill of imaginative memory are like the arguments of outsiders. When examined with correct reasoning, how can there be a time when they conform to reality? The fourth is unreasonable. If the emptiness of being empty of true establishment from the perspective of the way things exist on their own, not posited by discrimination, is realized, then realizing the selflessness of phenomena, then all sentient beings, such as the inner and outer (31a) heretics, will effortlessly realize the selflessness of phenomena. They innately regard the basis of distinction, such as the distinction of Dharma, form and consciousness, as true. In your system, this is not an innate clinging to truth, but a nominal valid cognition. Even if one clings to distinctions fabricated by discrimination, such as subtle particles and indivisible moments, that is not an innate view of the self of phenomena. And the kind of self-view that you desire has never appeared before in the world and in treatises, and if one searches for experience in their continuum, it cannot be observed. To this, you in the world and in treatises

If it is thought that the previously unknown sign is not established, then it does not matter whether it is known or not. The latter sign is established, because all sentient beings, such as inner and outer heretics, merely by targeting the dharma that functions as a special basis, spontaneously arise with the thought of a true self that performs actions, behaviors, and works, etc. Although some of the characteristics of that true self are distorted by concepts, since there is experience of the innate self-view without differing targets and aspects, for you, the object of refutation of the sign shown by Jamyang, namely the actions and functions of things, established in the way that they exist truly by their own nature, the experience of the innate delusion of the second action and function existing truly by its own nature, does not appear even slightly in the continuum of oneself or others. If you say that is also not established, then the way that the innate self-view enters into the dharma of all sentient beings (31b), and the way that the innate self-view enters into the dharma of you teachers and students, are not the same. If you deny the true view of the dharma of all sentient beings, what can we do? Or, for this way in which the innate true view of dharma appears, there is no choice but that either we all sentient beings and you two are driven mad by the influence of disease and demons, or that our minds are deranged. If that is the case, then it must be examined whether we all sentient beings and you two are mad. Furthermore, the complete and perfect Buddha and the glorious protector Nagarjuna, etc., have said that the innate clinging to truth that exists in the continuum of all sentient beings, namely the true appearance of the pillar being a true pillar and the vase being a true vase, together with attachment, this delusion has deluded all sentient beings. And that kind of innate clinging to truth that you desire, we have only heard from your own mouths in this way: This innate one that my venerable Jamyang considers, unless it is an experience of cultivating the guidance of the Madhyamaka view, it is said that it is impossible to recognize. Therefore, when the experience of Madhyamaka arises in your continuum, we prostrate with great reverence to that innate self and clinging to truth that does not appear in the continuum of any sentient being. Therefore, the teacher of this world of ours is the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha himself.
