Please have compassion on those who have perverted thoughts and actions, and those who are extremely ignorant. Although diligently engaging in the ten non-virtuous actions, they hope to attain liberation, which is utterly ridiculous. Please have compassion on those who are helplessly drowning and struggling in the tumultuous ocean of suffering. They have cast aside the seed of omniscience – altruism, and obstructed the seed of higher realms – offerings and generosity, while increasing the seeds of lower realms – the three poisons of attachment, hatred, and ignorance. Please have compassion on those who are experiencing the infallible consequences of their actions. The expanse of samsara is immeasurable and inconceivable, yet they do not know what evil to abandon or what good to practice, and still pursue the prosperity and abundance of this life. Please have compassion on those who are bound by the clinging to permanence. They sever friendships, food, wealth, retinues, and servants with themselves and others, and no matter how they accumulate and protect sins, sufferings, and hardships, when the time inevitably comes to walk the path to the next life, please have compassion on those who were originally beneficial but have become harmful. Body, life, youth, etc., are like dreams and bubbles, yet even knowing that they quickly perish, they do not feel fear. Those who arrogantly believe they can live long in this world, with narrow minds, when death strikes like lightning, please have compassion on them. All the appearances here, like poison, are absorbed into the alaya consciousness. The unbearable Lord of Death, Yama's messengers, are constantly approaching. For those helpless and without refuge beings, please compassionate and kind lamas have compassion on them. Enemies who have harbored hatred due to past afflictions, are further provoked by present conditions and evil thoughts, and continue the cycle of karma through mutual killing. Please have compassion on those who are experiencing the suffering of hell. Due to not understanding selflessness, clinging to self, with strong attachment and stinginess, they regard the body and possessions as precious private property, obstructing offerings and generosity, and plundering the bodies and possessions of others. Please have compassion on those who are experiencing the suffering of hungry ghosts. Doing good, abandoning evil, faith, vows, compassion, etc., they know nothing about what to take and what to abandon, being as ignorant as lambs. They do not pursue the benefit of this life and the next, deceiving themselves like foolish practitioners. Please have compassion on them. Seeing others possessing noble birth, beautiful appearance, wealth, possessions, retinues, fame, and other happiness and abundance due to the merit accumulated in past lives, they become jealous. Please have compassion on those who are experiencing the suffering of strife. At all times, they are enveloped by eighty-four thousand afflictions, forgetting antidotes, friends, illusions, etc., with diminished memory and abilities, unable to enter the correct path. For these beings full of faults, past, present, and future.

From the bottom of our hearts, we desire and pray, please look upon us with compassion! There is no other hope, please look upon us with compassion! Alas, alas, the beings who need protection, Like the blind, they do not know the permissibility and prohibitions of the three vows, The powerful and greedy officials who indulge in sins, The high and low, noble and common, who do not remember death, Although they are not the objects of your compassion, Alas, alas, there is no other hope, May those who create the causes of suffering be transformed into virtue, May we be able to endure the ripening of karmic results, please protect us with compassion!
