Drawing blood from the Buddha is like Devadatta throwing stones when the Buddha was alive. Nowadays, destroying Buddha images and the like are the five inexpiable sins. The five sins close to them are: destroying stupas, killing Bodhisattvas, engaging in impure conduct with Arhat nuns, killing noble learners, and closing the door to respect and offerings to the Sangha. The four heavy sins are: belittling the wise, belittling the robes of monks, belittling the food of practitioners, and belittling the belongings of mantra practitioners. Similarly, breaking worldly vows, the vows of the Hearers, the precepts of Bodhisattvas, and the vows of Secret Mantra are all heavy sins. Furthermore, due to ignorance, disparaging the body of the Teacher; due to arrogance, disparaging the qualities of the wise; due to jealousy, disparaging the words of truth; and due to partiality, engaging in refutation and acceptance of the Dharma. Among the five inexpiable sins, drawing blood from the Buddha, and among the ten non-virtues, wrong view is the most serious. Disparaging the equal Dharma and clinging to what is without inherent existence. Each of these is a heavy sin of being evil, fallen, slandered, and denied. The eight inverted views are: belittling virtue and praising evil, these are two. Disturbing the minds of those with virtue, destroying the Sangha of those with faith, abandoning the guru, yidam, and Dharma friends, these are seven. Destroying mandalas and so on is the eighth. All of these are inconceivable faults based on Bodhisattvas. In short, the monk Devadatta, who despised the results of karma, and Lekga, Drigung Palchen, and others fell into hell from the cracking earth, which is a visible retribution. In the past, in China, there was a person who slandered the results of karma, who turned into a snake while sleeping in bed, and so on. Therefore, do not rely solely on hearing and contemplating views, and do not trample on cause and effect with rough behavior. This is repeating the words of the guru, not what I have seen with my own eyes. Therefore, it is said that it is very important to carefully examine one's own mind in every way and to distinguish between good and evil. In general, there are two kinds of noble people: those who do not break their vows and those who correct their mistakes. That is to say, for all the evil deeds done in the past, generating a strong sense of remorse from the bottom of one's heart is the power to overcome sins. And the object of

Relying on the Three Jewels and the Lama, exert yourself in confessing from the depths of your heart whatever non-virtuous actions you have done in the past—this is the power of reliance. Remembering your past misdeeds and fearing their ripening, using your three doors for the Dharma—this is the power of applying the antidote universally. The power of turning away from misdeeds is: being tempted by piling up wealth like mountains as payment for committing sins and abandoning the Three Jewels, or even if you are certain to be killed right now if you do not practice virtue and abandon evil, you will definitely not err in taking up virtue and abandoning evil, without any hesitation. If you do this, even having committed the five inexpiable sins can be purified. In the past, Shakyamuni Buddha's brother, named Delightful One, was extremely attached to women and did not keep the Dharma in mind. The Brahmin Angulimala, due to the instigation of an evil teacher, did not listen to the teachings of virtue and killed nine hundred and ninety-nine people. Devadatta, or Ajatashatru, due to strong hatred and encountering evil companions, killed his father, King Bimbisara, the virtuous king. Ajatashatru's son, Sukhavati, prevented him from abandoning his own wife and committing adultery with another's wife, (Sukhavati) did not kill (Ajatashatru). Know that all these sins can be purified through confession, as is known from the pure scriptures. The root is: Therefore, in the impure, other-powered (imputed) temporary state, the ten paths of virtuous actions that lead to higher realms, and turning away from the ten non-virtuous actions, the ten virtuous actions should also be practiced properly. By practicing the ten virtuous actions, with the corresponding ten merits, one can be reborn in happy realms, and with the ten non-virtuous actions, one can be reborn in lower realms. Discerningly adopting and abandoning the causes and effects of black and white karma is the path of the lesser person. This is what is said in the scriptures of the Yogachara school. The imputed is: like a rabbit's horn, the child of a barren woman, flowers in the sky, the self of phenomena and persons, in short, all those things that do not exist in the realm of objects but are grasped by the mind as existing. In the other-powered, the impure other-powered is the appearance of the vessel and essence world, such as the five elements, that appear to the senses, all of which are illusions. The pure other-powered is: the pure lands and palaces, etc., that appear in the vision of the Buddhas, and the pure appearances of deities and pure lands, etc., that appear to yogis are also included here. In the perfectly established, the unchanging perfectly established is, from delusion and
