关于人类的起源方式：经部中说，人类起源于光明天。也有说法是起源于四大天王。在续部中说，太阳和月亮两位天子化生，世间的人类由此繁衍，因此被称为业生者。那时的人们与色界的天神相似，没有明显的烦恼，功德也几乎与天神相同。但渐渐地，当贤劫开始衰败时，福报和光明也减少了，潜在的烦恼容易显现。寿命从无量岁减少到八万岁，身量为三十二腕尺。之后依次减少到二十腕尺、十六腕尺、八腕尺和四腕尺，逐渐减少到寿命只有十岁。其他三大洲也起源于天神，四大洲各自的天空也与须弥山四方的颜色相符。总之，寿命从无量岁逐渐减少，当能活到百亿年时，人们从蛋中出生。之后又逐渐减少，当能活到六百六十万年时，从湿热中出生。之后如前一样，由于寿命减少的过失，当能活到九万年时，产生了以观看为满足的贪欲。从那之后减少五百年，产生了以欢笑为满足的贪欲。从那之后又减少五百年，产生了以触摸为满足的贪欲。这些都是因为烦恼逐渐粗重，功德越来越少，过失越来越多的缘故。据说在某些时候，也发生了饥荒和黑暗的情况。那时，就像众生共同的福报产生了日月一样，星辰也随之出现。在那之后，福报、光明、寿命、受用和身量都逐渐减少，从交合的贪欲中产生了胎生。那时，依靠种植萨鲁米稻的食物为生，但也盛行偷盗等行为，为了消除争端，进行了分配，但分配者自己的份额却被取消了，大家都信任他，于是推举他为国王，被称为大众敬戴的国王。此外，在民众中，有些人舍弃家庭，像持戒者一样生活，被称为婆罗门。有些人维持家庭，尊敬父母等长辈，被称为犹太人。有些人不认为父母和长辈值得尊敬，经常致力于身体的三种不善行。

Regarding the origin of human beings: The Sutra Pitaka states that humans originated from the gods of clear light. It is also said that they originated from the Four Great Kings. According to the Tantras, the sun and moon, two sons of gods, were born through transformation, and from them, the people of the world originated, hence they are known as "Karma-born." At that time, people were similar to the gods of the Form Realm, without obvious afflictions, and their merits were almost the same as the gods. However, gradually, as the Good Aeon began to decline, merit and light also decreased, and latent afflictions became prone to arise. Lifespan decreased from immeasurable years to eighty thousand years, with a body size of thirty-two cubits. Then it gradually decreased to twenty cubits, sixteen, eight, and four cubits, gradually decreasing until the lifespan reached ten years. The other three continents also originated from gods, and the skies of each of the four continents corresponded to the colors of the four sides of Mount Meru. In short, lifespan gradually decreased from immeasurable years, and when it reached one hundred million years, people were born from eggs. Then it gradually decreased again, and when it reached six million six hundred thousand years, they were born from heat and moisture. Then, as before, due to the fault of decreasing lifespan, when it reached ninety thousand years, desire arose to be satisfied by seeing. From then on, five hundred years decreased, and desire arose to be satisfied by laughter. From then on, another five hundred years decreased, and desire arose to be satisfied by touch. These were all because afflictions gradually became coarser, merits decreased, and faults increased. It is said that at some times, there were also famines and periods of darkness. At that time, just as the common merit of beings produced the sun and moon, stars also appeared. After that, merit, light, lifespan, enjoyment, and body size gradually decreased, and birth from the womb occurred due to the desire for intercourse. At that time, they relied on growing Salu rice for food, but theft and other behaviors also became prevalent. In order to resolve disputes, distribution was carried out, but the distributor's own share was canceled. Everyone trusted him, so they elected him as king, and he was called the king revered by the masses. In addition, among the people, some renounced their families and lived like ascetics, and were called Brahmins. Some maintained families and respected parents and elders, and were called Jews. Some did not consider parents and elders worthy of respect and constantly engaged in the three unwholesome actions of the body.
