Although they pride themselves on their own systems as the ultimate reality, most of them are engaged in ways that do not accord with the correct reality. Whatever path to liberation they cultivate, whether it is the innate nature or something separate from it, they will not achieve a state beyond conceptual thought; they will not achieve the inconceivable. If someone merely becomes content with their own way of thinking and considers that to be the reality, will they attain liberation by abiding in their own meditation? No, because that is merely following one's own desires. For the practice of reality, why are worldly rituals needed, and why are offerings to the gods needed? For reality, what is the point of diligently making offerings, and what is the point of reciting mantras and other teachings? There is no need to go to bathing ghats, and there is no need for asceticism, because entering the water does not bring liberation; it is meaningless. If someone abandons compassion and only engages in emptiness, then they have not found the supreme path of the Mahayana, because they have strayed into the path of the Shravakas or Pratyekabuddhas. However, if one does not understand emptiness and only cultivates compassion, then one will not be liberated from samsara, even if one is born in the Brahma realms, because one has not realized the meaning of selflessness, which cuts the root of samsara. Whoever is able to combine emptiness and compassion, they will not remain in samsara by realizing emptiness, and they will not remain in the one-sided peace of nirvana through compassion, and thus they will attain great nirvana. Calling out 'Kye lag' (Alas!), whatever is spoken with the clinging of subject and object, of aiming at a target, is all false in essence and contrary to the true nature of things, so abandon it completely. If there is any clinging to any dharma with an aim, that is also a binding, so let it go. If the true nature of reality is realized, then everything is coemergent, and anything other than that does not exist, so no one can know it. Therefore, reading, holding the meaning of words in mind, and contemplating the meaning are all for engraving the essence of the scriptures in the heart. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Although it is so, (Tathata) is inexpressible, yet everything becomes its gateway. However, only that single Tathata needs to rely on the guru's teachings to be realized, and is not universally knowable. When the guru proclaims the profound oral instructions, and they enter the heart of a fortunate disciple, it is like seeing a treasure in the palm of one's own hand, thereby seeing the great meaning that was previously unseen and inherent within oneself. Originally, one's own nature is naturally pure, but it is not seen due to being obscured by ignorance. Those who are deluded will say, 'These ignorances have deceived me,' thereby giving rise to ego-grasping. For this, there is no need to engage in meditation, nor is there a need to renounce the household, because (Tathata) is inherently present. If someone asks, 'Then should one abide in the household?' It is not so. If one abides in the household, indulging in sensual pleasures with one's wife, and one's mind is bound by desires and cannot be liberated, then ego-grasping will say, 'These people do not truly understand Tathata'. If what is to be observed has already manifested, then why is meditation needed? If it has not manifested and remains hidden, then it is like groping in the dark, and one cannot clarify the meaning through conjecture. The nature that is co-emergent is neither like a pot or other substantial things, nor like space or other non-substantial things. Ego-grasping will constantly shout out in an obscure manner. Whether one clings to happiness or to conceptual thoughts, it becomes the source of suffering such as birth, old age, sickness, and death. But by grasping or abiding in the primordial Tathata, one can accomplish the supreme great bliss that is free from all suffering. Ego-grasping will proclaim this in a loud voice, but if the world, like animals, cannot understand, then what can be done? All efforts will be in vain. Because there is no object to cling to, there is no need to engage in meditation. Since there is no object to meditate on, what is there to think about? There is nothing. What cannot be expressed in words, how can it be explained in language? Although it cannot be spoken, through the 'mudra' (藏文:ཕྱག༷་རྒྱ,梵文天城体:मुद्रा,梵文罗马拟音:mudrā,汉语字面意思:印章) that brings about the fruit of samsara, that is, the control over samsara, it deceives all beings. Therefore, for the primordial nature that is beyond thought and speech, those who cling to thought and speech cannot understand or realize it. For this, there is no lineage to point out. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
