(Loten, name of a person) 认为,阿赖耶识(kun gzhi'i rnam shes,fundamental consciousness)存在,因此必须承认它。

Loten (name of a person) stated that the ālaya-vijñāna (kun gzhi'i rnam shes, fundamental consciousness) exists, therefore it must be acknowledged. The Yogācāra school posits three natures: Parikalpita (rnam par rtog pa): Whatever similarities appear between internal and external objects, and in whatever ways self and phenomena are distinguished, that very thing is the nature of the imagined (kun tu brtags pa yi ngo bo nyid), and it does not exist. The sutra also states: 'Subhuti (Rab 'byor), just as children are attached to things, so too are phenomena non-existent.' Paratantra (gzhan gyis dbang gi ngo bo nyid): It is the discrimination of mind, mental factors, and the three realms (sems sems byung khams gsum pa'i), which arises from other causes and conditions, hence it is dependent. Parinishpanna (mi 'gyur bar yongs su grub pa): In the Paratantra nature, the things that were previously imagined as the apprehended and the apprehender no longer exist. Therefore, the Parinishpanna nature, which is free from the Parikalpita, is not different from the Paratantra nature, because it is the dharmata of the Paratantra; but it is also not non-different from the Paratantra, because there is a distinction between dharma and dharmin. For example, impermanence (mi rtag pa), suffering (sdug bsngal ba), and selflessness (bdag med pa) can be said to be both different and not non-different from the aggregates ('du byed). If impermanence is different from the aggregates, then the aggregates would not be impermanent. If impermanence is not different from the aggregates, then the aggregates would disappear after disintegration, just like impermanence. If the Paratantra nature has no grasper and grasped, how does it grasp? If it does not grasp, how is its existence known? When the non-conceptual wisdom (mi rtog pa'i ye shes) that transcends the world realizes the Parinishpanna nature, even the subsequent wisdom (rjes thob dag pa 'jig rten pa'i ye shes) of the world cannot see the true state of the Paratantra nature as it is. The Parinishpanna nature seen by non-conceptual wisdom is like space, therefore samadhi (mnyam bzhag) is also like space. The wisdom of subsequent attainment sees all phenomena as illusions, dreams, mirages, and so on. Such a nature, within the three natures, explains that all dharmas are without nature, without arising, and without ceasing, from the perspective of the three types of no-nature. What are the three types of no-nature? First, the Parikalpita nature is called the no-nature of its own characteristic (rang gi mtshan nyid kyi ngo bo nyid med pa), because its nature is merely the imagined Parikalpita, therefore, the characteristics of the apprehended form, etc., have no substance, like flowers in the sky. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Furthermore, the thoroughly established nature (parikalpita-lakṣaṇa) is emptiness, and so is the other-dependent nature (paratantra-lakṣaṇa). Because it arises from other causes and conditions, not from itself. Therefore, 'the nature of arising is emptiness' is a different term from the former (referring to the thoroughly established nature). The ultimate profound point of the object to be realized, like space, is of one taste, without defilement, unchanging, so the perfectly established nature (pariniṣpanna-lakṣaṇa) is ultimately true. Thus, the suchness of all dharmas is also the ultimate truth, and this is the selflessness of phenomena or the nature of non-substantiality in the ultimate truth. Whether ordinary beings, noble ones, learners, or non-learners, at all times, suchness does not change. Only the perfectly pure suchness can be fully understood, and this is only consciousness. As long as this non-dual nature, this principle of only consciousness exists, the consciousness of the yogi does not cease, the habits of the grasper and the grasped, and the grasping of the grasper, all exist in the alaya-consciousness, and will not transform. If one only contemplates the nature of mind with a mind that is free from conceptual elaboration, will one be able to abide in the nature of mind? Not so. Or, in order to eliminate the thoughts of those who are arrogant, who think that they abide in pure only-consciousness merely by hearing, whatever is called 'dharma' is only consciousness, without any other object to be grasped. If someone thinks like this, and observes with manifest signs, no matter what is observed, such as a skeleton or blue color, and places it in the mind, that is not abiding in only-consciousness, because the grasped or observed is not abandoned. When will the grasping consciousness be abandoned, and one abide in the nature of one's own mind? Whether the teachings or instructions indicated by consciousness, or ordinary things such as forms and sounds are taken as objects, as long as one does not cling to external objects, does not regard them as real, and sees the meaning of non-manifest clinging as it is, then one is abiding in only-consciousness. Because there is no grasped, there is no grasping consciousness. Thus, without distinguishing between the grasper and the grasped, being equal and of one taste, transcendental wisdom will arise. Abandoning the clinging habits to the grasper and the grasped, one can also abide in the nature of one's own mind. Thus, there is no mind of the grasper and the grasped, and one does not cling to the two, the grasper and the grasped. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
