The other shore, because the worlds are not familiar with it, do not universally exist, do not conceptualize it, and transcend the world, therefore it is the very wisdom that transcends the world. Although the alaya-vijñana (store consciousness) of all seeds exists, it has been transformed. When the entities of afflictions and vipaka (karmic results), and the habitual tendencies of the two, disappear and become capable, it is transformed into the entity of wisdom that is non-dual with the dharmakaya (body of truth). If it is attained by abandoning what? It is attained by abandoning the afflictions of the kleshavarana (afflictive obscurations) and the jñeyavarana (cognitive obscurations) that are incapable, that is, by abandoning the two seeds of afflictions and knowledge. It itself is free from all defilements, and because it is the cause of noble dharma, it is called 'dhatu (element)'. Because it is not an object of reasoning, but is self-cognized by each individual, and is unparalleled, it is inconceivable. Because it is the bliss of the object of pure dharma, and is the nature of anasrava (untainted) dharma, it is good, constant, imperishable, and stable. It is the constant state, is bliss, is the body of liberation of the sravakas (hearers) and others who possess the abandonment of afflictions, and the state attained by the bodhisattvas through the abandonment of afflictions, that is, the dharmata (nature of reality) or dharmakaya of the Tathagata Bhagavan Mahavira (Great Hero). In short, the abandonment of the kleshavarana is the body of liberation of the sravakas and others. The nature of transformation is called the dharmakaya of the Mahavira, because the truth of transformation is accomplished by practicing the bhumis (grounds) and paramitas (perfections), and abandoning the two obscurations. Not abandoning samsara (cyclic existence), and thereby attaining freedom from afflictions and mastery over all dharmas, it is called the dharmakaya of the bodhisattvas. The Thirty Verses composed by the great scholar Dignaga are complete. The Indian khenpo (abbot) Jinamitra, Silendrabodhi, and the translator-reviser pandita Yeshede jointly translated, revised, and finalized it. This commentary was copied from the handwriting of the omniscient Mipham Chokyi Wangchuk in the Iron Monkey year at Dzogchen hermitage, and was finalized in accordance with the commentary composed by the master Lodro Tenpa. May this merit cause the excellent teachings of the authentic Yogacara school of the Mahavira to never decline until the end of samsara, and may all beings proceed towards great bodhi (enlightenment)! Mangalam (auspiciousness)!
