It is necessary to manifest the empty form, and to manifest it, it is necessary for the prana to enter the central channel. Even if the empty form appears after the prana has entered the central channel, it is not possible to induce the co-emergent wisdom, so it is necessary to forcefully make the prana enter the dhuti channel. This is known from the two tantras and commentaries quoted above. Let me briefly explain the meaning of the commentary: The meaning of the first verse is that by meditating on the object of focus of drawing in the life force, such as finger retraction, even if signs such as smoke are seen, if the life force is not bound to the dhuti channel, then the unchanging bliss that is desired and actually sought will not arise. This is what is indicated. This commentary's quote shows that in the case of finger retraction etc., by meditating on the object of focus of drawing in the life force, before the prana is bound to the dhuti channel, even if signs such as smoke are seen, until the prana enters the dhuti channel, it is not possible to induce the desired co-emergent wisdom. Therefore, in order to accomplish the desired meaning of meditating on the object of focus, it is necessary to see the signs such as smoke that arise from the prana entering the dhuti channel. Some people think that once the empty form appears, by meditating on it, the co-emergent wisdom can also arise, so they consider the mere appearance of the empty form as a special sign of the completion stage. This view is clearly refuted by this quote. Whether or not one can induce the co-emergent wisdom seems to be the key to distinguishing between the two signs of whether the prana has entered the central channel or not. Second, as stated in the root text and commentary, "Through forcefully practicing the nada." Nada, when translated, simply means sound, so it is practicing sound, and this sound is the sound of "Hum". The method of practicing it is: Sit in the vajra posture with legs crossed, make the vajra fists with both hands, cross them at the heart, lower the head slightly, close the mouth, and forcefully strike the prana into the central channel from the nostrils, and visualize the vibration of the prana as the sound of "Hum". At the same time, expel it from any of the lower gates through the path of the downward-clearing dhuti channel, first expelling it a little above the navel, and then gradually dispersing it after getting used to it. Do this vigorously and continuously, but not too long, because if the strength is exhausted, it will not be vigorous. At first, do about twenty-one times in one go, and increase the number of times after getting used to it. The method of practicing such force is clearly explained in the "Sphere" of the tantra. This is not explained anywhere else except in this tantra.

It should be understood in all the contexts of the completion stage of unsurpassed yoga. Third, the following is explained by words such as "water-born." In the commentary on the Name Praise, the glorious wisdom of the sun says: If this tantric method is neither co-emergent nor non-co-emergent, then from the beginning, it is cited as the source of practice relying on action mudra, and the habit of Nada is forced, which is inconsistent with the root commentary. Fourth, the purification distinction is: meaning is accomplished by purifying the aggregate of formation. The distinction is: by stopping the ten winds, there are ten aspects. Fifth, what is the valid cognition: both life-sustaining and life-supporting are mental manifestation. Sixth, the result: easy to understand. Second, there are six branches of holding: the meaning of the name, the limit of time, the branch to be meditated on, the distinction of purification, what is the valid cognition, and the result. First: putting the life-force wind into the central channel is holding, or causing it to abide in the central channel is holding. Second: by putting the life-force wind into the central channel, unmistakable signs of entering the central channel appear, starting from relying on entering the central channel. Third, there are four points: definition, classification, method of meditation, and the way of generating experience through meditation. First: through the power of yoga, the wind enters the central channel, does not move back and forth, but abides in the central channel. As for the one with life-force vase breathing, even if the wind only abides without moving back and forth, since it abides in the central channel, there is no fault of being too broad. Moreover, although there is no abiding in the central channel when initially meditating on holding, it is present in the result of meditation, so it is not too narrow either. Second: Tibetan scholars, taking "the six branches of close practice" as the basis, divide holding into six kinds of holding that hold the six chakras, even if that scripture cannot be taken as the basis, it can be divided in that way. Third: Tibetan scholars say: It is not good to say that holding is in the center of the chakra here. If holding requires meditation in the center of the chakra, then entering the central channel also requires meditation in the center of the chakra, know this. The previous scripture of the Gathering, in the Upper Commentary on Chakrasamvara, is cited as the source of both life-sustaining and life-supporting, therefore, the tip of the nose, that is, the center of the chakra, the winds are joined and meditated. The method of joining, etc., is as before. That is, first in the navel chakra.
