In the four places, when one consciousness manifests in various forms such as blue, yellow, white, and red, these forms should not be different entities, because they are not other than one indivisible consciousness. If admitted, then through appearing as the forms of things, things should not be considered established as different entities, because these forms are not different entities. In the four places of forms, etc., the root consciousness that holds variegated colors, should not be established on one, because it is multiple forms and one entity. If not pervasive, then the dharma. These forms and one entity should not be established on one, you are the same entity, because these forms are established on multiple entities. Second, refuting the view of the half-egg, is stating the accepted and refuting it. First, in the four places of white, etc., someone says, we do not have those faults, when one consciousness manifests in various forms such as blue and yellow, the forms of white, etc., appear sequentially in consciousness, but because the entry is rapid, it is mistaken to think that they appear together, for example, sparks are produced sequentially, but it is mistaken to think that they appear together. Second is refuting the meaning, refuting the analogy. First, the consciousness that focuses on letters is uncertain, only consciousness distinguishes entering the object is uncertain, all consciousnesses are uncertain. First, in the four places of whip, etc., when saying "Sa ra Sa", the illusion of hearing the fruit, taste, and two seas at the same time will arise, because hearing these two is very rapid. If admitted, it will be refuted by direct perception. Second, in the two places of consciousness, etc., when some consciousness distinguishes enter the object, the illusion of holding the object at the same time will arise, because holding the object is very rapid. Third, in the six places of types, etc., all consciousnesses as the subject of debate, sequentially holding the object is uncertain, but mistaken to think that holding at the same time, because holding the object is very rapid. There, because the sound (no mistake) is not one, so it will not last long, for example, the forms that you admit. Second, refuting the inference, establishing pervasiveness. First, in the four places of sparks, etc., this consciousness that mistakes sparks for wheels as the subject of debate, is seeing non-conceptual consciousness, rather than the consciousness that connects between before and after, because the object appears clearly. Second, in these eight places, etc., if saying not pervasive, then it is pervasive

If it is posited that: If it is a consciousness that connects the past and the future, then it must be a memory. Non-conceptual consciousness, subject, does not connect the past and the future, because it does not apprehend past objects. Consciousness that connects the past and the future, subject, is the clear appearance of objects, because it apprehends past objects. The consciousness that mistakes a firebrand for a wheel, this subject, is not a consciousness that connects the past and the future, because if it were, it should not be the clear appearance of objects, but it is the clear appearance of objects. In refuting the equality of the number of consciousnesses, (1) stating the assertion, and (2) refuting it. The first: In the four sentences beginning with "mountain," he says: Just as one sees a single row of linen cloths, when various appearances of blue and yellow appear, various consciousnesses also arise simultaneously, so I have no such faults. If so, the second: Establishing that all consciousnesses have various aspects, showing that an indivisible unity is impossible. The first: In the four sentences beginning with "that," the consciousness that focuses on the single aspect of white, subject, has various aspects, because that white has different parts such as southeast. If you assert, then it will become impossible to have a consciousness that apprehends only one aspect. The second: In the eight sentences beginning with "atom," it is impossible for an indivisible unity to truly exist, because it is possible to focus on it but it is not focused on. If the sign is not established, then there: The five consciousnesses such as eye consciousness focus on the accumulation of atoms, and the mental consciousness that follows it is the same as it, and the minds that do not follow it focus on the collection of mental factors. In purifying the tenets of the outsiders, (1) general refutation, (2) individual refutation. The first: In the two sentences beginning with "outer," even in the tenets of the outsiders, it is impossible to have a consciousness that apprehends only one object, because all consciousnesses have various aspects. The second: In the fifth refutation of the former party, the first: In the two sentences beginning with "quality," in the tenets of the Vaisheshika and Samkhya schools, it is impossible to have a consciousness that apprehends only one object, because it must be distinguished and apprehended by qualities, actions, and collections such as substances with limbs. The second: In the four sentences beginning with "wealth," in the tenets of the Jainas or the exterminators, it is impossible, because all things truly exist in many ways like the light of a jewel. The third: In the four sentences beginning with "earth," in the tenets of the naked ascetics, the former form is also refuted.
