The petals and various colors are produced by the common karma of sentient beings. Similarly, one should understand about others as well. As it is said: Sentient beings differ due to karma, born in the dark times, for example, in hell, heaven, and the world, like swords and wish-fulfilling trees. Thus it is proclaimed. The two realms are produced by both common and uncommon karma, which is also explained in the treatises of the Mind-Only school. Therefore, in the view of the Mind-Only school, the container world is not non-existent. Thus, it is said that all beings are born from karma, and without mind, karma does not exist, because only together with mind can karma be accumulated, so karma also depends on mind. Thus, in the Ten Bhumi Sutra, it is said that there is no agent or experiencer, based on this, the word 'only' (ཙམ་,梵文天城体:मात्र,梵文罗马拟音:mātra,汉语字面意思:only) shows the prevention of other agents. And based on the statement that all twelve links depend on one mind, the word 'only' (ཙམ་,梵文天城体:मात्र,梵文罗马拟音:mātra,汉语字面意思:only) shows that mind becomes the main one. The previous explanation is from the aspect of negation, and the latter explanation is from the aspect of establishment. Therefore, for entering into samsara, mind itself is the main cause, and other than mind is not the main cause. Therefore, in the sutras, only mind is taken as the main one, not form. If someone thinks that form exists, but that form does not have the nature of an agent of going like mind. Therefore, it prevents the agent other than mind, but it does not prevent the external form. Here, some such as the Samkhya school think that Prakriti etc. are the agents, and some Buddhists think that mind is the agent, and there is no dispute that form is not the agent. Therefore, the doubt that Prakriti etc. are the agents by others, that is, being examined, in order to eliminate Prakriti etc. which do not have the nature of an agent, in conventional terms, seeing that it is capable of being an agent, when it is said that only mind is the agent, it excludes that Prakriti etc. are the agents, Prakriti etc. the object of the debate of the excluded object is suppressed, which is reasonable. Just like among two kings who want to rule one territory, excluding one competitor, the excluded one obtains his own territory and is useful to both.

Just as there is no harm to ordinary people, similarly, here, for the sake of both, because it does not harm form, it must be determined that only form exists. The second point is, therefore, according to the reason stated earlier, the worldly Suchness abides in names, and the external aggregates of form, etc., are recognized in the world, and all five aggregates exist. When one wants to generate the wisdom that directly realizes Suchness, the yogi does not manifest those five aggregates when in meditative equipoise. Because it is so, if one thinks that there is no external object, then do not cling to the existence of mind. Even if one thinks that there is an internal mind, do not cling to the absence of external objects. When one examines with the reasoning of seeking the meaning of imputation, if one thinks that there is no external object, then, because the existence of both internal and external is reasonable, and one is separated from the accomplishment of actions, one must also think that there is no internal mind. Similarly, when one thinks that there is a mind, one must also recognize form, because both are recognized in the world. Here, The Mind-Only school believes that there is a difference between form and mind in terms of existence and non-existence. The so-called absence of form refers to the absence of external objects, because the sutra says: "Without external objects, from one's own seeds, the appearance of blue, etc., arises." And in its explanation, it also says: "Without external objects such as blue," the difference of external objects is stated for the object to be negated. Also, in the explanation, it says: "The word 'only' cannot prevent the knowable," and explaining it in other ways also shows that it is impossible to prevent external objects, so it is said that preventing form is not the meaning of the sutra, and preventing form is said to be preventing external objects. If it is not like that, but only done according to the literal meaning, then it is said that "the word 'only' cannot prevent the knowable." Having said that, it can also be said that the Mind-Only school prevents the knowable of the mind with the word "only." If the Mind-Only school does not accept form, then when the Mind-Only school shows the reasoning for establishing the Alaya consciousness, the Compendium of the Great Vehicle says: "Those who connect the continuation of rebirth, the senses hold form."
