Treatise. Explaining the intention of what is said in Cittamātra. Showing that the existence or non-existence of the external and internal minds are the same. From the Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra, explaining the intention of what is said in Cittamātra. The first has three: Establishing that the word "only" does not prevent the external by the quote from the Daśabhūmika Sūtra. Establishing that meaning by other sūtras as well. Establishing that the word "only" establishes the mind as the main one. The first is: If the reasoning that examines only that suchness is devoid of being established by reason, but if you accept the conventional because you are afraid of the harm of worldly people, then you must also accept Cittamātra because you are afraid of the harm of the scriptures. As it says in the Daśabhūmika Sūtra: "He thinks to himself, 'Thus, these three realms are only mind.'" If you say so. The answer is that the words are the jewels of the Victor's speech, extracted from Indranila (Sanskrit: Indranila, 因陀罗 नीलम, indranīlam, blue sapphire), displaying the foundation of the sutra section. You, who do not recognize that it is Indranila, mistakenly believe that consciousness is real and is a complete transformation of the form of water. You want to make the water that is only consciousness real into ten parts. Washing and shaking the bottle of your wisdom that has not been released, and then reading it into eighty pieces, it will become a laughing stock for those who know its nature. The intention of this sutra is not as it appears to your mind. So, what is the meaning of the sutra here? Therefore, it is explained: The bodhisattva who has attained the sixth ground, whose mind is directed towards the wisdom of the all-knowing wisdom that is manifested in the Dharmadhatu, what he said that the three realms of existence are only consciousness, is because he has prevented the permanent agent, and only the conventional mind is the agent. Therefore, the agent of the world is the bodhisattva who thinks that it is only the mind. As it says in the Daśabhūmika Sūtra: Discriminating the dependent arising that occurs in accordance with the world. In this way, the aggregates of suffering, the agent and experiencer of the tree of suffering do not exist, only this can be achieved, he thinks. He thinks: Because of attachment to the agent, actions exist. Where there is no agent, there is no action in the ultimate sense.
