There are also two vehicles of Hearers and Solitary Realizers in terms of the object of focus. When focusing on the nature of reality, it must be established in the mind. If the belief in true existence is not cut off in the mind, then true emptiness cannot be established in the mind. If that is not established, then the nature of reality will not be established in the mind. Moreover, it must first be ascertained on the basis of one object of phenomena. Therefore, for Hearers and Solitary Realizers, they also focus on internal and external phenomena, and it is shown that there is a focus on the absence of true existence in their nature. In this way, there are also those in our own tradition who realize the meaning of suchness. Therefore, it is not universally true that those in our own tradition who have knowledge cannot abandon their attachment to truth. For Hearers, it is also necessary to divide them into those who realize suchness and those who do not. Therefore, in the Ornament for Clear Realization, two ways are also taught for the Lesser Vehicle. Regarding the belief that the apprehended and the apprehender are truly different entities, it is necessary to determine whether or not to establish them as obscurations of knowledge. If one does not argue that the lineages of the three vehicles are different, but argues that the division of the thirteen lineages is not permissible, that is also unreasonable. As it is said in the Twenty Thousand Verses, "As it is said, Manjushri, if the realm of phenomena is one, suchness is one, and the ultimate boundary is one, then how can one designate them as vessels and non-vessels?" If someone says that in other sutras there is no difference in the realm of phenomena, then how can one examine the vessels and non-vessels of the Great Vehicle? This is similar to what was said above. The argument is that the lineages of the Great and Small Vehicles cannot be different. If one makes distinctions among the thirteen lineages, then it is not permissible to argue about vessels and non-vessels. The great master, Senge Sangpo, also holds the same view as the noble Liberation Group. Similarly, in the root text and commentary of the Uttaratantra, it is also said that there are two types of Hearers and Solitary Realizers: those who realize the nature of reality and those who do not. Because there are too many, I am afraid, so I have not written them down for the time being. In this way, the reason why two types arise is that the Ornament for Clear Realization teaches the path of the wisdom of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers in order to guide the lineages of Hearers and Solitary Realizers. Therefore, for the Lesser Vehicle that is to be guided, there are also two types: those who have become vessels of profoundness and those who have not. And among these two, the latter is very numerous, so the path of the latter is mostly taught. Just as in the Great Vehicle, if one is not first led to Mind-Only, one cannot find the view of the Middle Way, so it is also in our own tradition, and

This is also evident in the Śrāvakayāna. Furthermore, in both the Twenty Thousand Verse Light and the Great Commentary on the Eight Thousand Verse, as evidence for establishing the Dharmadhātu as the lineage of all three vehicles, the statement "All noble beings are distinguished by the unconditioned" is quoted. This uses the Diamond Sutra's "There is no Dharma of the Buddha, nor is there anything taught" as proof, explaining that noble beings are distinguished by the unconditioned. The meaning here is that all noble beings of the Great and Small Vehicles are established because they have realized the ultimate unconditioned, which is the non-establishment of phenomena as they are. Therefore, this system is not contradictory to the Ornament for Clear Realization. Therefore, one should also understand these two ways in the systems of the commentators on the Ornament. Enough with the elaboration. The third part has four points: explaining the giving that dwells on the first ground, explaining the giving of inferior supports, explaining the giving of Bodhisattvas, and showing the distinctions of the giving pāramitā. The first point is: When the Joyful Ground is attained, for that Bodhisattva, among the ten pāramitās, only the giving pāramitā itself, the Dharma, becomes more excellent. But it is not that he does not have the other pāramitās. This transcendent giving pāramitā is also the first cause of complete enlightenment. This is also in terms of the transcendent. In general, the later pāramitās are more excellent than the earlier ones. But here it is said that giving is more excellent because the power of practicing giving on this ground is extraordinary, while there is no such power in practicing discipline and so on. That is, the Bodhisattva on the first ground can, as stated in the sutras, give away his own body and external possessions without hesitation, and without generating any miserly attachment that contradicts the giving pāramitā. But on the second ground, even in dreams, one will not violate discipline, and will not do anything that contradicts discipline. Furthermore, on this ground, the realization that is difficult to manifest is inferred through giving, because not only is one respectful in giving away external possessions, but one is also extremely respectful in giving away one's own flesh to beggars. Therefore, for most other people, this can serve as a reason to infer that they have attained the inner ground that is difficult to manifest, which is a definite reason.
