Therefore, it is unreasonable to assume that intrinsic existence exists. If it is unreasonable, then who would it be the master of? Therefore, the self-sufficient cause is also not intrinsically existent, so even from the definition, it cannot be established that the causes have intrinsic existence. The third part has three points: refuting the intrinsic existence of causes by the reason of producing the result; refuting the establishment of whether the result is the intrinsic nature of the cause or not; refuting the determination of the intrinsic nature of cause and non-cause. The first point is: if it is said that although it cannot be said that the cause can accomplish things in this way, it is visible that pūlu etc. are produced from cotton etc., so it is known that these are the causes of the result. Then, the causes such as cotton, oil, thread, wooden shuttle, etc., whether individual or collective, the result pūlu is non-existent. For the causes, how can the non-existent pūlu be produced from the causes such as cotton with its own intrinsic nature? It will not be produced, just like oil cannot be squeezed from sand. If it does not exist, then if the pūlu exists in each cause, does it exist completely or partially? If it is like the first case, then many causes are not needed, because without relying on others, each cause can also produce. If it is like the second case, then without relying on others, each cause can also produce a part. Because it cannot be thought of in this way, each cause does not exist completely or partially, so the collective cause also does not exist. In the Commentary on the Clear Words, it is said: each cause does not have its own pūlu, because it cannot be observed, and because many causes will lead to many results, so it is easy to refute. It does not exist in the collection of cotton etc., because it does not exist in each branch, and it will lead to a single result being produced in segments. The latter case of refutation is that when pūlu exists in the collection, a part of pūlu exists in the collection, and at that time, just like before, each can produce, so it will lead to the production of multiple parts. If it is said that although the result such as pūlu does not exist in the causes, it can also be produced from those causes, so there is no pervasion for the former. If so, then why can't pūlu etc. be produced from non-causes such as thatch? It will also be produced. The reason for these

The great one has already been discussed. Secondly, if the cause and effect are different, then it is reasonable to examine whether the effect exists in the cause, but what if the effect is only the nature of the cause? If you say that the effect is the nature of the cause or the transformation of the cause, then it is unreasonable. If cotton and so on are established by their own nature, it can be said that wool is its nature, but those causes are not the nature established by their own nature, because they are only established on their respective parts. Therefore, how can any effect such as wool exist in the nature of causes such as cotton from those that are not the true nature? It does not exist. As it is said in the Hundred Treatises: Wool is made of raw materials, and raw materials are also made of other things. How can that which is not made by itself produce other things? It is said like this. Therefore, the effect with the nature of the cause does not exist. Then, will the effect become the nature of non-cause? Because the nature exists, but it should not be the nature of the cause. If the effect is established by the nature of non-cause, it does not exist. Because seeing that wool should not be the nature of cotton, it is unreasonable to admit that it is the nature of thatch. The birth of the same nature of effect and cause has been prevented before, but here the prevention of the same nature, the reason for prevention is also different. Third, if you have prevented the effect, but the determination of cause and non-cause exists. Because only grain oil will be produced from grain, and butter will not be produced. Only butter will be produced from yogurt, and grain oil will not be produced. Neither of them will be produced from sand. You also said that it is the same from non-cause. If there is no effect such as butter and grain oil, then grain and yogurt should not be cause and non-cause, so the effect and cause should also be self-existent, is that so? In this regard, you say that the occurrence or non-occurrence of effects such as grain oil is the reason for the determination of cause and non-cause respectively. Because it has been shown before that the effect of the nature of cause and non-cause does not exist. Therefore, this is the cause of this.
