is merely a false statement. Furthermore, the Engaging Commentary states: "Therefore, it is established that the suchness is realized through imputation. In reality, it is not that something is known by something, because both the knower and the known are unborn." The first meaning of what is said is that establishing the realization of suchness by making wisdom and suchness two separate objects, the object and the object-possessor, is merely an establishment of the nominal consciousness. The meaning is that it is not established on the level of wisdom. The statement "consciousness is unborn" means that it is unborn by nature, like pouring water into water. Since the object of wisdom, suchness, does not allow mind and mental factors to enter, it is said, "Only the body directly realizes it." What is said means that the object to be manifested is suchness, the wisdom of the object-possessor is the action of manifesting it, and the enjoyment body is the agent of manifesting it, that is, the knower. The way it manifests it is, as previously explained, through the cessation of the movement of conceptual thought of mind and mental factors. As the commentary says: "The body by which that suchness is manifested is said to be of a peaceful nature because it is separated from mind and mental factors." If the Buddha does not see the aggregates and so on, then it would be a slander of the knowledge of all that exists and all that exists, because existence and the Buddha not knowing are contradictory. Therefore, for the knowledge of all that exists, all that exists must appear, and knowing without aspects is not the view of this school, so aspects appear. The objects that appear, all that exists, are also divided into two: the Buddha's signs and examples, etc., which are not defiled by the habits of ignorance, and the impure containers and contents, etc., which are defiled by the habits of ignorance. The former has no meaning of returning in the realm of the Buddha, and the latter returns in that realm through the cessation of the cause. The way it appears is that when the Buddha's signs and examples appear to a person who has not abandoned ignorance, although it is not established by its own nature, it appears there, not because the object is caused by the power of the habits of ignorance, but because the object-possessor is manifested by the power of being defiled by the habits of ignorance, because for other people

Merely from the perspective of appearance, it does not appear to the subject, but appears as such from its own side. Because, for the omniscient wisdom of the Buddha, in the state of not having abandoned ignorance, form, sound, etc., are not established by their own nature, But the appearance of those things that appear there is that they appear to the Buddha only through the appearance to the person who has the defilement of ignorance. It is not that it appears from the Buddha's own side without depending on the appearance to others. Therefore, although form etc. are not established by nature, the Buddha's knowledge of what appears there is also from the perspective of appearing to those who have ignorance. It is not that the Buddha knows in the way that it appears to him without depending on the appearance to that person, so there is no reason for those appearances to be confused. Because, although it does not appear because wisdom has defilements, it is because that wisdom must know all knowable things. In this way, from the perspective of the omniscient, all things appear as the nature of selflessness and non-self-existence, and appear like false illusions, not as true. And for those who have ignorance, from the aspect of appearance, the appearance to that wisdom is only the appearance of truth to that other person. The Sixty Verses of Reasoning also say: "Those who are skilled in reality see things as impermanent, deceptive dharmas, accumulation and emptiness, selflessness, and are called extremely peaceful." The commentary on this also says: "The one who has completed the deeds sees it in this way." In this way, from the two truths, "Devoid of the nature of what is to be grasped, how does this appearance alone appear? All those who arise in dependence are directly seen by the omniscient." Thus, all that is knowable is directly seen, and "When knowledge and what is to be known, and self are no longer seen, then signs do not arise, and one does not arise because one abides firmly." Thus, in the samadhi of the pacification of dualistic appearance, it is said that one never arises, and the two ways that are said, if they are not understood as they are, it seems that it is contradictory to admit both except for one of the two, but in reality there is no contradiction. Because, the wisdom that realizes emptiness and the wisdom that knows all that is knowable are one in nature.
