It also seems to be in accordance with the saying "to become...". In the difficult commentary of Madhyamaka Ornament, it is also said: If someone thinks, how is it that there is no self-nature? To this, it is said "truly". The word "true" refers to the nature of Suchness, which can be understood by the force of things entering and then inferred. If analyzed by Suchness, it is the meaning of the word "emptiness". This explains "Suchness" and "ultimate truth" and so on. Or, only true wisdom can be called "true" and so on, because it is the object of these. It is by the intention of true wisdom that there is no self-nature, but not by the intention of conventional wisdom, that is its meaning. It is said that applying the distinction of truth and so on to no self-nature is also often explained in the Lamp of Wisdom and the Blaze of Reasoning. In particular, the commentary on the fifteenth chapter, Lamp of Wisdom, says: Here, if the essence does not exist, then how can it be a thing? If it is a thing, then it is not without essence, so there is the fault of denying that meaning by itself to what is vowed. In this way, the answer to the fault of contradicting one's own words for vowing that all things are without essence is: It is said in the same treatise: Because in the ultimate sense, things are acknowledged to have essence, and not vowed to be without essence. Therefore, there is no denial of the meaning of what is vowed, so there is no fault of not establishing the reason. Therefore, there is no fault in this. Because it is thought that all things are without essence in the ultimate sense, there is no denial. It is clear that if in name, no self-nature established by its own nature is considered slander. Again, in the same treatise it says: In the ultimate sense, inner things are without essence, because they are made, and because they depend on the special expression of the dependent. For example, a person transformed by a magician and so on. Therefore, in order to prevent self-nature, it is necessary to apply the distinction of ultimate truth. Among them, the meaning of non-existence in the ultimate sense is: For the state of existence, analyze with the reason of analyzing in the state of being as it is.

Now, regarding the point that it is established by not existing, these teachers are all in agreement. Therefore, in the treatises of this teacher, it is also said that when establishing the conventional, one does not include an examination that is in accordance with the view of suchness, and when refuting self-nature, it is said that it does not exist when analyzed with reason, and there are many such statements, so these are similar to the previous ones. However, there is disagreement as to whether it is necessary to accept that it can be tolerated by reason that examines the manner of being established by its own nature. These two teachers believe that what is established by its own nature must be tolerated by reason that examines suchness, therefore, they also believe that it must be established by ultimate truth, as has been said many times before. There are two aspects to the refutation of what is to be refuted: one is to identify the meaning of the other's position and one's own position, and the other is to follow which of the two to generate the view in the mindstream. The first point is: In the commentary of the teacher Buddhapālita, the other's position and one's own position are divided into two, although there is no clear statement that he is making the other's position, but when commenting on "Not from self, not from other, not from both, not without cause, nowhere, at no time, is there ever birth of things," he refutes the four births by stating the harm to other schools. To this, the teacher Śīlabhadra said that he refuted by stating the fault of not being able to establish one's own position or refute the other's position. In order to explain in detail the reason why such a fault does not apply to the Buddhapālita school, the teacher Candrakīrti said that for other schools, the Madhyamika must use the other's position as a means to generate the Madhyamika view in the mindstream, and one's own position is not appropriate. In this way, he refuted and clarified the position of the other's position. There are two ways to establish such other's and one's own positions: one is to refute other schools, and the other is to establish one's own school. The first point is divided into two points: one is to state the view, and the other is to refute the view. The first point is: There seem to be many ways to establish the other's position and one's own position, but who can say all of them? Therefore, some of them will be said. To this, Jāya Ānanta says: In the commentary on the Entering the Middle Way, some say that if the other's position is
