If one learns in such a way, one will be learning the complete body of the path that gathers all the essential points of Sutra and Tantra. This will make obtaining leisure meaningful and will be able to spread the precious Buddha's teachings in one's own and others' continuums. With just one eye to look at the vast scriptures of the Buddha, one can fully understand all the tenets. For the wise, it generates joy, and one should rely on a virtuous friend who is well-versed in this way, and whichever of the first Buddhas, Manjushri, has well protected. By his power, one is able to distinguish right from wrong, may that wise one always protect. It is the crown jewel of all the world's scholars, and its beautiful reputation flutters like a banner. From Nagarjuna and Asanga, the stages of the path to enlightenment, passed down in succession, because it fulfills all the wishes of beings, it is the king of precious instructions. Because it is a place where thousands of rivers of tenets gather, it is also the ocean of auspicious good sayings. The great Pandit Marmeze (Sanskrit: Dipamkara Shrijnana, Chinese: Burning Lamp Wisdom) illuminated it in the snowy mountains, so in this direction, the eye for viewing the excellent path has not been closed for a long time. Then, when all the wise ones who truly understood the essential points of the teachings disappeared, this excellent path also declined after a long time. Seeing that situation, in order to spread the teachings, all the teachings spoken by the Victorious One, with the vehicle of the Great Vehicle, lead sentient beings to the single path of stages, and the way to practice after well gathering them. It is neither too broad, nor does it omit all the key points of the meaning, and even those with little wisdom can easily understand it, and I have guided it from the path of reason that conforms to reason. The conduct of the Sons of the Conquerors (Bodhisattvas) is very difficult to understand, and I am a child even among children. Therefore, if there is any mistake here, I confess before those who see things as they are. There, through long effort, the two accumulations accumulated as vast as the sky, may they make all beings whose minds are blinded by ignorance, the protector of the guide, the Buddha.

In all lifetimes before reaching that state, may Manjushri compassionately guide me, so that I may find the supreme path that encompasses all the stages of the teachings, and by practicing it, may I please all the Buddhas! With skillful means led by intense compassion, having dispelled the darkness from the minds of beings, may I uphold the Victorious One's teachings for a long time! In those regions where the precious teachings have not spread, or where they have spread but have declined, may I, with great compassion stirring my mind, make that treasure of benefit and happiness clear! May the wondrous activities of the Buddhas and their sons, and the stages of the well-accomplished path to enlightenment, bestow glory upon the minds of those who desire liberation, and may they long sustain the deeds of the Buddhas! May all beings, human and non-human, who accomplish the favorable conditions for establishing the good path and eliminate obstacles, never be separated from the pure path praised by the Buddhas in all lifetimes!
