It should be symbolized. That is because it is said (in the scriptures) that it is abandoning the three joys. Therefore, since it is said (in the scriptures) that "that is the first of separation," it is said at the time of separation, so it should symbolize that this itself is the first of co-emergent (joy). This has been established. Because the co-emergent appears, the conceptual thought itself disappears, so it will be more and more symbolized. And, that itself is said in the Great Yoga Tantra of the Condensed Wisdom Vajra: Among all illusions, the illusion of women is particularly superior, from the distinction of the three wisdoms, from this it will be clearly symbolized. And, in the Fifth Stage it says: From the part of the night appearance, it is clear that the sun's rays radiate the great appearance of the day. The boundary is obtaining appearance, not combining here with one's own nature, etc. Not night, not day, and not a boundary, liberated from the natures, in this moment of realization, the Supreme of the Conquerors said that all yogis should realize. This (passage) also explains that the nature of the three joys is what is symbolized, and the absence of characteristics is the fourth (joy) spoken by the Bhagavan, that is, "separate from the three absences of characteristics." This explains that, here, how does the reasoning of separation from joy follow the co-emergent (joy)? Because it cannot be symbolized. After separation from joy, if it is said that the recollection itself does not show the method of experiencing the nature, then (this) becomes a fault. The place where the co-emergent (joy) appears itself is undisputed. If someone asks, because the nature is not experienced anywhere, is it the same here? No, like the time of dawn, the boundary is also like that. If that is the case, then is its essence also impossible to symbolize? Yes, because it is shown as close to the method of experiencing itself. If someone asks, then shouldn't that method also be cultivated? Not from there, because attachment to the appearance of approaching the symbol is impossible here. Yes, because the nature that makes it transform in that way, how to make it appear, is what the guru should instruct. In this way, through the order of approaching the symbol, the wishes of both are clearly explained. It also only points out that, here, "supreme boundary separation from joy first," that is to say, here also, the supreme boundary, what kind of supreme boundary is the first separation from joy?

The first Joy-Separation means the end of the joys that are separated from the supreme, which is the meaning of the second. What is its suchness? "Without beginning, without end, and without middle, without existence, not nirvana, this is the supreme great bliss, not other, not self." This means that by negating the arising, ceasing, and abiding of the beginning, the end, and the middle, all dharmas are emptiness, and in a way that is one with great bliss, this method can be used to realize it, which is the meaning of the answer. By negating joy, separation from joy, and supreme joy, because it is immutable, it is the co-emergent suchness that does not abide in existence and peace. Likewise, it is said: "Supreme, devoid of extremes and center, empty and non-empty Heruka." Here, at the end of supreme joy, whatever the joy-separation in the center, the signified that is connected immediately after it is emptiness, because it is devoid of self-nature. Non-empty is because what is being said now is also not discernible. Because it abides in the nature of great bliss by abandoning the two, that is the Bhagavan, the meaning of the name Heruka. In the center of the supreme and joy-separation, the signified is regarded as stable, which means that if it is the speech of an ordinary person, what then? One should be respectful of this. Then, if it is scripture, then its meaning is: it is merely the non-joy of the middle. As it is said in the Second Chapter of Investigation, joy, supreme joy, and joy-separation exist, appearing as the co-emergent that is about to appear, in order to ascertain the nature of the six meanings of the signified, the supreme is excellent, and in the center of those two co-emergents, it should be the meaning of the signified. For the sake of bliss, the supreme is supreme joy, and this is the co-emergent joy itself, and supreme joy itself is what is attained. Because it is said to be the moment of abandoning various things. In the treatise of the Four Seals, because it is made by not understanding the teachings of individual ordinary people, they contradict each other, so it is not spoken by the noble ones. Likewise, in front of the noble Nagarjuna, in order to clarify the meaning of the five stages, the noble Shakya Friend also spoke with a snare: "Empty and likewise extremely empty, the third great emptiness, the fourth..."
