Like the spreading of hot light, from which arise appearances like the coolness of moonlight. In the previous period conforming to the norm, the four emptinesses dissolve into the preceding and following, ultimately merging into luminosity as one, accomplished through the luminous wisdom and the subtle wind element that accompanies it. Like a shadow, inseparable and indestructible Vajra Body, immutable and without outflows, liberated from all seeds of affliction, like a fish leaping from water, or like awakening from sleep, the arising body is the Union Body. That is accomplished simultaneously with the attainment of the luminosity's entering, obtaining, and near-attainment, just as the intermediate state is accomplished when the near-attainment arises in reverse from the luminosity of death. Here, from the Five Stages, "Samsara and Nirvana, when both dualistic thoughts are abandoned, wherever things become one, that is called Union." From this verse to "When both form and formlessness, dualistic thoughts are abandoned, whoever has mastery of peaceful realization yoga, that is the attainment of Union," twenty-three unions are explained. The Sanskrit word for Union is युगनद्ध (yuganaddha, yuganaddha, joined). युगन (yuga, yuga, pair) is pair, नद्ध (naddha, naddha, bound) is non-dual, meaning it has become non-two. Its meaning is twofold: First, regarding the two dharmas such as samsara and nirvana, the conceptual thought of grasping at truth that distinguishes the two is abandoned by relying on the uncommon path of mantra, the wisdom of great bliss of luminosity, thereby obtaining the Vajra Body of non-duality that cannot be distinguished by that conceptual thought, which is the Union. Second, the body transforms into an illusory body, and the mind transforms into the essence of wisdom through the luminosity of meaning; these two do not alternate but gather simultaneously in mind and body, which is the Union. The latter comes from the Five Stages, "Knowing that nature in four stages, self-blessing and knowing luminosity, whatever is the union of those alone, this is the order of Union." It says that, first, in reality, luminosity is accomplished immediately, and second, it is obtained when the one who initially attains Union, thereafter enters the luminosity of meaning again. When the Union of Learning is attained, it is said in the Compendium of Conduct that all afflictions have been abandoned. I and

To regard all clinging to reality that clings to self-nature as afflictions is the tradition of the noble father and sons. It has already been explained in detail elsewhere. In the Five Stages, it says: "The great yogi who abides in the state of union, who is still learning, because he has meditated on union, his conduct is also inseparable from it." Here, it also speaks of the union of learning, and it also speaks of engaging in conduct while abiding in that state. As previously stated, obtaining a likeness of the illusory body, and after placing it in the example luminosity of the two dhyanas, the arising of an illusory body that resembles the illusory body should also be understood as a likeness of union. Before obtaining the union yoga mentioned earlier, it is necessary to newly learn different paths of the completion stage. Once it is obtained, it is the ultimate essential point of the path of the completion stage, the ultimate essence of all scriptures in general, and in particular, the ultimate definitive meaning of all the tantras of the non-dual tantra of highest yoga, which is to make what was previously obtained familiar, and not to be newly learned, as stated in the scriptures. In the Five Stages, it says: "Having abided in the samadhi of union, he no longer learns fire in any field." It says here. This can be learned in detail from the Illuminating Lamp of the Five Stages. Second, the practice of methods to enhance the path: In the stage of completion, there are three times to engage in practices that enhance the path: Thus, after obtaining mental isolation, one practices for the sake of accomplishing the illusory body; after obtaining the illusory body, one practices for the sake of luminosity; and after obtaining the union of learning, one practices for the sake of exhausting the obscurations of knowledge. In each of these times, one also learns any of the three practices of with elaboration, without elaboration, and extremely without elaboration, according to the differences in individuals. Among these, the first two practices rely on karma mudra, and the third practice relies solely on jnana mudra. The nature of the practice is to cultivate bliss and emptiness by enjoying common sense objects, and especially the five sense objects of the vidya, in a way that knows their self-nature. Among these, with elaboration is to abide in the mandala of the assembly of male and female yogis equal to the number of deities in the mandala, transformed into the attire of those deities, and first is the samadhi of union, etc.
