This (gro ba) is grasping suffering from sufferings. As it is said in the Great Commentary (འགྲེལ་ཆེན་): Here, being deluded by the illusion of samsara, clinging to the self (ངར་འཛིན་པ་) and what belongs to the self (ང་ཡིར་འཛིན་པ་), is grasping the suffering of hell, hungry ghosts, and animals. Thus it is said, being deluded by clinging to the self and what belongs to the self, therefore it is considered as the view of the perishable aggregate. Because that itself is the seed of craving, it is also said to be the habit of desire. The root of samsara is self-grasping, this is the view of all schools of Mahayana, Hinayana, tantra, and characteristics, therefore, the wisdom that realizes selflessness is very clear as the cutter of the root that binds to samsara. Therefore, in the Great Commentary (འགྲེལ་ཆེན་) of the fourth chapter, it says: Then one should remember the three roots, namely, generating the mind of enlightenment, pure intention, and completely abandoning self-grasping and grasping of what belongs to the self. Thus it is said, the path of abandoning self-grasping, that is, the wisdom that realizes selflessness, is said to be the root of the path. The Madhyamikas believe that when meditating on unchanging, non-dual wisdom, one should also meditate through the two selflessnesses, as it is said in the Great Commentary (འགྲེལ་ཆེན་) of the fifth chapter: For the Madhyamikas, meditating on unchanging and non-dual wisdom like a dream, that is, in this way, the selflessness of sentient beings and the selflessness of phenomena. Thus it is said. Regarding the refutation of the self of sentient beings, it has been said in the second chapter, and the reasoning for refuting the self of phenomena is also said in the Great Commentary (འགྲེལ་ཆེན་) of the second chapter: Therefore, the Madhyamikas say: Consciousness (རྣམ་པར་ཤེས་པ་) exists in the ultimate truth. However, the wise do not accept it, because it is separated from the nature of one and many, like a lotus in the sky. It is neither existent, nor non-existent, nor both existent and non-existent, nor is it the nature of both. That which is liberated from the four extremes, that is what the Madhyamikas understand. Thus it is said, the reason for being separated from one and many. Therefore, the result is not produced from itself, not produced from others, not produced from both, nor is it without cause. Thus it is said, like the reasoning of the Vajra Splinter, etc., as it appears in the Madhyamika treatises. In the tantras and commentaries, the explanation of selflessness is brief, therefore it is also said that it needs to be understood from other treatises. In the Great Commentary (འགྲེལ་ཆེན་) of the second chapter, it says: Selflessness and so on have been established. This is brief.

It is said by (someone), and the details should be understood from the vast scriptures. Thus it is said. Furthermore, in the Great Commentary, it says: Vajra is indivisible and indestructible, and it itself is the vehicle, that is, the Vajrayana, which is the principle of mantra and the principle of Paramita, the nature of fruit and cause becoming one. Thus it is said, and as quoted earlier in the "Summary of Empowerment," the fruit of the principle of mantra is immutable bliss, and the principle of Paramita is appearance and emptiness of self-nature, which is the determined emptiness. Therefore, according to the system of Kalachakra, not admitting emptiness established by reason, and not admitting views consistent with the Madhyamaka reasoning, is a misinterpretation of the meaning of the tantric commentary. Therefore, the wise should, regarding the meaning of what is said not just once, such as emptiness and form, existence and non-existence, the extremes of permanence and annihilation, and like illusion and dream, as it appears in the Madhyamaka treatises of the noble father and sons, in the ultimate truth, be free from all extremes, and in the conventional truth, in the absence of self-nature, all actions such as bondage and liberation are reasonable, and in the manner of illusion, cut off the bonds of clinging to extremes, and thus proceed to liberation, and do not firmly hold onto the belief in the reality of the self of phenomena, which is the clinging to truth. Secondly, like this, after seeking the meaning of selflessness, without cultivating the continuity of certainty that ascertains the meaning established by view, wherever one clings, it is a way of clinging to conceptual thought, so not thinking about anything is the system of Kalachakra, saying this is a misinterpretation of the meaning of the tantric commentary, because the Great Commentary of the fifth chapter specifically refutes this. Among them, what is first said is the precedent for this assertion, as it is said: Thus, from the Prajnaparamita, the Tathagata's non-thinking wisdom is what the Bhagavan spoke in order to attain perfect and complete Buddhahood. It is not thought, because of the nature of attachment and detachment. Here, when the thoughts of sentient beings arise strongly, then attachment arises towards extremely desirable objects, and detachment arises towards undesirable objects, these are samsara. When
