Etc., protected by the mantra of all. Regarding the water for filling, take water during the day that has not been traversed by horses, cattle, donkeys, etc., and do not let it touch other containers, as it is said in the scriptures, fill it appropriately with clean water that is free of living beings and mixed with good fragrances. Saraha said that milk and alcohol can be mixed in the water. As for how to put the mandala substances into the vase, this scripture says that if the conditions are limited, then the two vases, the Victory Vase and the Karma Vase, should be made of precious essence, and other vases should not be like that. That is to say, the Victory Vase, the scripture says that it must be made of precious essence, so it is up to you whether or not to put other vase substances into the vases. Don Yö Zhap said that grains, medicines, and precious substances should be put into the main vase, and the other vases should be filled with fragrant water. Shantipa and Bhava Bhadra also said that grains, medicines, and other vase substances should be put into the Victory Vase, and Shantipa explained that the reason for this is that the Victory Vase is the main vase and has many functions, and in order to show its difference from other vases, it is said in the Four Hundred Verses. Regarding the method of putting in the inner substances, Prajna Shri said that grains, medicines, five amritas, etc., should be blessed by reciting the main mantra one hundred and eight times, wrapped in cloth, tied to the decorations, fumigated with incense, and then put into the vase water. However, Bhava Bhadra and Vibhuti said that it should be poured into the vase as they said. Jikje Lha thinks that it is meaningless to put the container filled with vase substances on top of the vase. The mantra for blessing these inner substances is: Om Pancha Bhaishajye Ah Hum (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Literal Chinese Meaning), Om Pancha Ratna Ah Hum (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Literal Chinese Meaning), Om Pancha Bega Ah Hum (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Literal Chinese Meaning), Om Pancha Garbhe Ah Hum (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Literal Chinese Meaning), Om Pancha Amrite Ah Hum (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Literal Chinese Meaning), Prajna Rakshita said that this is the mantra of medicine, precious substances, grains, essence, and five amritas, and for the five fragrances, one should also recite: Om Pancha Gandhe Ah Hum (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Literal Chinese Meaning). The neck of the vase is wrapped with three colors of cloth, white, yellow, and red, or some scriptures also say green and blue, so any of these colors can be used, and many people say to wrap a double layer of cloth and a garland of flowers. The Vajra Dakini also says: Wrap the neck with a new double layer of cloth. That is to say, a new double layer of cloth should be used.

Oṃ so. The wrathful deity Vajrabhairava desires neck ornaments for each vase that match the color of the respective deity, but there is no clear indication. Nagarjuna says, "With a large white cloth, bind the neck of the vase. On the cloth, good threads, white, skillfully drawn by experts." Following this, wrap seven white threads, each empowered by reciting Hūṃ seven times, and the mantra for wrapping is: Oṃ Vajra Śekhara Ruṭa Maṭa Diśaṃ Bandha Hūṃ (ༀ་བཛྲ་ཤེ་ཁ་ར་རུ་ཊ་མ་ཊ་དི་ཤཾ་བནྡྷ་ཧཱུྃ,oṃ vajra śekhara ruṭa maṭa diśaṃ bandha hūṃ). Vibhūhi binds the neck ornament with this thread. Other tantras say to wrap with five colors corresponding to the activities of pacifying and so on, which indicates that white thread is not the only option. In the Vajraḍākinī it says, "Adorn with colored threads." Most texts say the neck ornament is made of cloth, while some generally mention silk. The Vow Vajra also mentions coarse cloth, so if a clean, unused cloth can be found, it is best to use that; if not, use silk or whatever is appropriate. Some mandala rituals also mention that the cloth should be kept intact. Regarding the crest on the neck ornament, it is not clear in the mandala rituals of India, but the commentary on the Secret Buddha's Destruction says to wrap it in the form of three crests with clean, unused cloth. Do accordingly. Regarding the mouth ornament, the Vajraḍākinī says, "The mouth is filled with fresh branches." As it is said, many mandala rituals also say to adorn the mouth with branches with leaves. The General Tantra also says to adorn the mouth with good flowers and branches of trees. For the tree, many mandala rituals mention five trees such as mango, and it is also mentioned here, but since these are not found in Tibet, use fragrant trees with fruits and leaves. The Vajraḍākinī says, "A bunch of kuśa grass is placed underneath." Kuśa grass is said to be the base of the vase, not the mouth ornament, and reliable mandala rituals do not mention using kuśa grass as a mouth ornament, but rather using branches with leaves and so on. "Jewels, mustard seeds, dhūrva, etc." In the commentary, it says, "Dhūrva is a type of grass, auspicious, with leaves, and kuśa grass and seven peacock feathers are placed." This is what the Secret Buddha said.
