The south and what is said by Darikapa and others, the two easts have the same meaning, that is, to which direction does Chakrasamvara face, taking the south as the standard, because the direction where the dakini resides is placed there. Vibhuti said: Therefore, to which direction one faces, all yogis should understand. It is said that this is because this statement was made. It seems that Vibhuti quoted this from the mandala ritual of Bhuva Loden, which says: After going to the southern gate, completely circumambulate the remaining places. This is the order spoken in the Goddess Tantra. Starting from the Yoga Tantra's intelligence, east, etc., going to the southern gate, whatever is indicated is truthfully spoken, the drawing of the mandala that is shown should be understood as the meaning of conventional truth. Directions are infinite parts, if one examines south, etc., there is none. What is the face of the south, yogis consider it to be conventional truth. Thus, the Yogini Tantra circumambulates from the south, and the Yoga Tantra circumambulates from the east and draws the mandala. Although two different directions are spoken, because it is understood that directions are not established in ultimate truth, they are said to be the same, so south is just the literal meaning. Furthermore, the quote of Bhuva Loden is also quoted by Vibhuti, which also says: First face Yama, abide in the north of the wheel's ground, draw lines on the sky and the earth. Thus, it is said that when drawing the first Brahma line, face the direction where Yama is, and the north also refers to the north of the mandala's ground, so south, etc., are based on the external. Regarding the diagonal lines, as said here, after the diagonal line of fire and wind, draw the second diagonal line, and the students also think so. Regarding the order of the four cardinal lines, as said here, draw them in the order of east, west, north, and south, and Dipamkarabhadra, Varikapada, Shakyabhadra, etc., also say so. Nagarjuna and Krishnacharya draw them in the order of east, south, west, and north. Vavapa also draws them in the order of east, west, south, and north, and there are also those who draw the two cardinal lines of west and south first, so it is uncertain. When drawing the Brahma lines, diagonal lines, and cardinal lines, the positions of the teacher and the student are fixed in two places each, so in the Brahma lines, the two positions of the teacher are: north and east, and the two positions of the student are: south and west, first drawing the north-south Brahma line.

There are three ways of establishing. Others previously mentioned said that the west and south are the positions of the teacher, and the east and north are the positions of the disciple. As it says in the seventeenth chapter of the *Vinayasamuccaya*: "In the positions of the west and south, the teacher should definitely and correctly reside. In the directional positions of the east and north, the disciple should reside and meditate equally." This is in accordance with that. These are not distinctions of the two tantras, and it seems that it doesn't matter what is done. In terms of the corner lines, as it is said here, the two positions of the teacher are fire and non-reality, and the two positions of the disciple are wind and sovereignty, which is what the previous teachers also maintained. However, Gyalwa Zangpo and Jaya Sena said the opposite. Nagarjuna Bodhi said that the teacher resides in sovereignty and the disciple resides in non-reality, and then draws the corner lines, which appears in Patsab's translation, but in Dpal's translation it is the opposite. In terms of the root lines, as it is done here, fire and wind are the positions of the teacher, and non-reality and sovereignty are the positions of the disciple, which is the same as the previous teachers. In terms of facing directions, from whichever direction and corner one is situated, one faces the other direction and corner directly opposite. There are three ways to circumambulate the lines: the clockwise direction is as explained here in the root commentary of the *Catuhsataka* with fractions, the *Daytime Source*, and by Ratnarakṣita and others. The counterclockwise direction is explained by Sarahah, Kṛṣṇacarya, Vibhūti, and others. The alternating clockwise and counterclockwise direction is explained by Dārikapa: "With the union of circling to the left, draw lines in all forms. The corner part is to the right." This means that the directional lines are drawn counterclockwise and the corner lines are drawn clockwise. Nagarjuna Bodhi and Lavapa did not make it clear. Bhūva Lodan and Vibhūti said in the maṇḍala ritual of Cakrasaṃvara that if one does not go counterclockwise, the disciple will be destroyed. However, the *Vajraḍāka* says: "Here, the teacher and disciple should circumambulate to the right." The commentary also says the same, and Dārikapa also says that the corners should be circumambulated to the right, so the mother tantra does not necessarily require counterclockwise circumambulation. This teacher also made the clockwise direction common to both tantras, and Ratnada also explained the clockwise direction in Cakrasaṃvara, and Gyalwa Zangpo also said: Then the teacher and spiritual friend
