When asked who had come to the house, the reply was that no one had come, because the mute son was just looking and writing. When the father asked the son, the son looked at the mother's face and said nothing. When the mother had him repeat it, he said, "I can do this; it is not difficult to refute this argument." The next day, the son Chandragomin debated with the heretics, and Chandragomin won and received a great reward. Thus, because he naturally became proficient in the sciences of sound and logic, the moonlight of his fame shone everywhere. From the teacher Lodro Tendar, he understood almost all of the Sutra and Abhidharma Pitakas after hearing them just once. The vidyadhara named Mya-Ngen-Me, by receiving and practicing mantras, directly saw the faces of Avalokiteśvara and Tara. He became a great lord of scholars, composing many treatises on medicine, poetics, and crafts, and was especially skilled in grammar. He took the daughter of the king of Bharendra, named Tara, as his wife and lived with her. Once, one of his maids called the queen Tara, and he thought that someone with the same name as the deity was not suitable in the household, so he intended to go elsewhere. The king found out and said, "If you do not live with my daughter, throw her into the Ganges." So he threw her. The teacher prayed to the Holy Mother Tara, and the Holy Mother said that she was an emanation. She appeared on an island at the confluence of the Ganges and the ocean. The teacher stayed there, and therefore the name of the island became Chandra Dipa. It is said that it can still hold seven thousand towns. There, he built stone statues of Avalokiteśvara and Tara. At first, it was discovered by a group of fishermen, and gradually others came, forming a town. As advised by the Holy One, he became a lay follower of Gomin, and therefore he was known as Chandragomin. After that, he went to the island of Simhala (Sri Lanka) with merchants. There, because of the prevalence of Naga disease, he built the temple of the Holy Lion's Roar and passed away. He developed many sciences such as crafts and medicine, and bestowed great benefit on foolish people. He obtained wealth from the local spirits and established many Dharma foundations. He also briefly taught the Mahayana Dharma. After that, he came again to the southern region of Jambudvipa. A Brahmin supreme sacri
